Listening to podcast and they mentioned this company in passing. Sounds interesting and was wondering if anyone had looked into it before and if so what your thoughts are/were about it. Of course others can comment also.

I personally kind of like it, and for some it will be cheaper a month and more doctors offices are giving cheaper rates to cash customers since the doctor's office doesn't have to deal with insurance companies or government.

Sorry but you are incorrect in stating that doctors offices give cheaper rates for cash than than they give to insurance companies. Doctors actually bill everyone exactly the same and then some are willing to give a discount for cash. However that discount is way way less than the one that major insurance companies receive

In the old days I could not get insurance due to a pre existiong condition and spent a lot of time negotiating with doctors and talking to doctor and hospital billing depts..

This is not true. Concierge doctors services are cheaper than insurance rates.

I'm expecting these plans to start hitting the self insured employer market in the next few years. I can see employers, especially white collar firms, offering a high deducible emergency plan and paying the monthly fee for concierge doctors.

You missread the article. You are confusing Direct Primary care with Concierge care. And the actual coverage provided by insurance is way more than just primary care.
