so the Trump tax cuts for the corps means they pay zero taxes on 11,200,000,000

    amazing

and we were told by the Trump admin it was a middle class tax cut

sounds like it was permanent corp tax cuts with a temporary carrot tax cut for the middle class added in

The RP is not known as the Stupid Party for nothing.

Bezos is a left wing twit, and Amazon should have been Standard Oiled years ago.

WA state (where Amazon is based in) has sales tax. You can't avoid sales tax with business expense deductions.

But many on the Left don't like sales tax and think it is "regressive".

I believe there is in fact a legal difference wherein tax avoidance is simply paying the minimum you are legally entitled to, while tax evasion involves illegal measures.

Thank you, Steady Pie, that's how I think.

However, Big Business is given loop holes that you I do not get to take advantage of using.

If it bothers people, stop supporting them and their services. I actually find them to be generally overpriced so I choose other outlets. I still order maybe $60-100 a year but not a prime member.

As far as taxes, that's between their accountants and the irs.

That is so they can provide more jobs. Do you like the idea of people working to support themselves?

Prove that it is primarily and overwhelmingly for jobs and not profit.

    Be specific. Give many examples.

    It is called feudalism.
The poor pay taxes so the rich get richer.
Why would the rich pay taxes? He makes the rules, not follows them.

I wonder how many miles of *WALL* Benedict Donald, Moscow Mitch and Eddie Munster's tax cut would've paid for?

No need to prove to you what's common sense and reality. Your lack of business knowledge isn't my responsibility. I've wasted too many hours running around in circles with ignorant arrogant people to play that game. People like you are unreachable. You're indoctrinated.

Everyone needs to wake up. This isnt dem rep, this is a strategic effort to further destroy small businesses. Once they are totally gone we are more dependent on the system. The dems and reps are all for it. Cabal...

In a statement to CNBC, an Amazon spokesperson said, "Amazon pays all the taxes we are required to pay in the U.S. and every country where we operate, including paying $2.6 billion in corporate tax and reporting $3.4 billion in tax expense over the last three years." The statement also mentioned Amazon's investment and job creation in the United States.

Amazon's tax bill is low this year in part due to tax cuts but also because of years of losses due to high r&d expenses.

Amazon still pays vastly more taxes than most people can imagine. They are paying their fair share and then some...

Also Jeff bezos supports has given contributions to both parties but supports the politics of Washington's abomination of a srnator Patty Murray. He by no means is a Trunp lover.

That's not Donald Trump's fault. Blame all the congress creatures (ALL of them, not just the party you hate,) and the people that elect them, year after year after year. They are owned & operated by big business, so big business gets the favorable legislation.

Trump makes no effort to get Congress to close the loop holes, and went out of his way to praise the tax cut bill that so favored business over labor.

Yes, I will blame Trump for his leadership to once again help the corporations at the expense of the workers.

Oh? And what did Obama do about this? Bush? Clinton? Bush?

Nada. They all did nada. The American people have the government they deserve. They continually re-elect these ass clowns. If your boss keeps telling you "GREAT JOB!" would you dramatically change what you are doing to get that approval? No, of course you wouldn't.
