Unfortunately it doesn't mean anything who insisted. Republicans in Pennsylvania insisted on expanding mail in voting, then they cried about mail in voting election fraud.

Apparently Alabamans are happy being the 5th poorest state in the country.

Well they ones called for it can't complain about it now. I vote in person not one else touches my ballot as it gets cast. The union wanted a mass mail out ONLY mail ballot. Their biggest complaint here is that the company had the AUDACITY to OPPRESS the employees by asking the USPS to install a temporary mailbox on site........OH MY GOSH THAT CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE SUPPRESSED THE VOTE!!!!

Happy that our employees are making the national rate here and NOT having to be a member of a Union to do so. This Amazon plant is majority black employee too. We also have one of the lowest unemployment rates with huge projects such as the new Mazda/Toyota plant about to start up with 4500 labor force. In fact I posted an another thread about a customer of mine there, I have since retired, posted on social media how they need workers at jobs starting at $24 - $35 depending on experience.

THAT is the problem we have, LOTS of good paying jobs but can't even get people to apply.

    And

Union Appeals Amazon Election in Alabama, Says Company Violated Laws
Petition seeks new election after Bessemer employees voted not to unionize; Amazon has said it followed all laws
    https://www.wsj.com/articles/union-...ny-violated-laws-11618839996?mod=hp_lead_pos2

Of course ANOTHER election...............yeah THAT'S the ticket. They lost by almost 3 to 1 but it was all because of what Amazon did!!!! No it was because once again workers, workers able to make their own decisions about their economic futures, told the union to take a hike, a BIG hike. Only 13% of all the employees voted FOR the union (5800 worker, 783 for for the union). Yet the union claims the only reason they lost was because of Amazon and the workers being to stupid to know what is best for their economic futures.

And again the Unions biggest complaint

"The union’s complaint also focused on a mailbox, installed by the U.S. Postal Service at Amazon’s request outside the Bessemer, Ala., warehouse where the election was taking place. The union alleged that the mailbox could have coerced workers into incorrectly believing Amazon was conducting the election and thereby feeling compelled to vote against unionizing. The filing also accuses Amazon of electioneering by displaying a company campaign message near the mailbox."

    GASP...................:eyepopping:

It was the union who INSISTED on ONLY mail in ballots.

    And

"“Amazon knew full well that unless they did everything they possibly could, even illegal activity, their workers would have continued supporting the union,” RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum has said. “We demand a comprehensive investigation over Amazon’s behavior in corrupting this election.”"

Yea THAT'S why they could only get 13% of the employees to support them.

So how about it pro-union posters, do you fall for this union line about the employees not being able to make their own decisions here? And don't tell me the union didn't do everything they possibly could have to win the election.

The union apparently. I wouldn't be surprised if Biden was he is so out of touch with the American workforce. Me not at all, workers don't want unions anymore.

Some people need to negotiate collectively (which usually means having someone else do it for them), others are better at negotiating individually (which necessarily means doing it themselves). Both methods are fine. I would rather negotiate for myself.

THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT WORKERS: The PRO Act Empowers Union Bosses, Not Workers.

“Unions are playing hardball over the PRO Act because they see it as a vital lifeline—a way to extract more revenue from America’s workforce at a time when the overall number of unionized workers continues to decline. A high-profile defeat earlier this year in the first attempt to unionize an Amazon distribution center only makes it more clear: given the choice, workers mostly don’t want to be part of a union. So why not remove the choice?”
