Except now you have literally a guy that cannot stop signing executive orders, except the same people agree with them and want him to sign more. The real truth of the matter is, everything is going to get worse. All of the hopes and dreams you had about america are false, they always were. The government has been bought and paid for since the 70s. You think your vote matters? It does if you get face time with a representative and you got a stack of cash or a cushy job or stock option waiting for them at the end of their term. Otherwise, nothing you say makes a difference in America when it comes to the voting booth. And it doesn't surprise me that the same people who were crying and whining about Obama doing *some* resemblance of democracy in terms of doing...oh, I dunno, looking at official polls of the people then figuring out what he could do that supports the people's majority view on very simple stuff, such as, "You can't kick people out of your restaurant for arbitrary reasons that have nothing to do with anything, such as skin tone or omg...sexual orientation *insert fake blushing here*" From Nixon to Carter to Reagan (which set this whole thing going in 4th gear ages ago) to Bush Sr to Clinton (who got more Republican wet dreams passed than Republicans could ever do back then such as enslaving a 1/5th of the black population in prisons under the guise of 'War On Drugs' and '3 Strikes', etc...I mean isn't this Trump supporter creampie we're talking about? He increased the boarder security with wasted money and lives, etc...) to Bush Part II Electric Boogaloo of invading a country that didn't attack us, to Obama who expanded that list to 7 more countries and now we have Trump. Like, wake the hell up. Nothing's going to get better. Everyone is politicking here like it's a stupid football game. Cheer for red. Cheer for blue. There's only one team, and YOU ARE NOT ON IT. None of us are. Nice rant. I more or less agree with you about the political class in this country, but when you have Blue and Red and people will not vote outside of those because they want to say they voted for the winner we will continue to lose.
a vast majority of Americans are conservative, though they are not republicans. Todays version of Republicans are more theocratic than they are conservative. Fascist is just a buzzword to make it easier for liberals to compare republicans to Hitler. No real basis in reality.
If the American left are permitted to be Communists then the American right are permitted to be fascist.
