America Is Superior | Change My Mind

There are dictators in Africa and South America for whom military might was all that mattered while their people starved. What you posted above sounds like the exact some kind of thinking. Unfortunately for you this nation was founded for We the People and not some wannabe dictatorship. Nowhere does the Constitution require that America must be a superpower.

 

Of course I understand the criteria and I also understand your attempts to define American superiority solely on the criteria of being able to intimidate or dominate other countries while eliminating any criteria relating to the health, wealth or well being of the American Citizen.

By your criteria I guess you would define China as number 2 on the world superiority scale and I guess you would put Russia as third.

 

GDP per capita is not subjective. Average lifespan is not subjective. Infant mortality is not subjective. Happiness of course is subjective although a person's subjective judgement of their own happiness is arguably the most important measure of the quality of their life and that measure certainly indicates the superiority of a country at least as far as meeting the needs of it's citizens is concerned.
