Chuck Todd, Meet the Press moderator, was talking with Bernie Sanders today about excess vaccines. The two of them thought the U.S. should send vaccines they've been hoarding to South America.

As part of NAFTA, Mulroney let the U.S. take over Canada's vaccine production. No PM since did anything about the grab. America has hoarded covid vaccines and now is talking about screwing over its NAFTA partners by giving away or selling vaccines, leaving Canada and Mexico to do without.

Believe Americans are your friends? Canadians should think again.

Didn't the EU screw Canada with CETA too?

Selling to Canada but buying EU at sale time costing Canadian producers.

Not much. British Columbia should play tough about renegotiating the Columbia River Treaty, force Americans headed for Alaska to quarantine for two weeks in Canada, and let it be known BC is unlikely to make any sacrifice to sell us water.

Sell Canada vaccine rather than grandstand about sending it to Brazil and India and BC could then go back to allowing Americans to transit to Alaska as they are now.

Chuck Todd is as Sanders is, one element of the hard core left.
What is good for Canada or America is hated by them and they want to turn it over other nations.

Fat chance of BCers agreeing. Of course, we can always dust off the Army.

Why should Canadians use their wealth to buy from American programmes when it stated an intention to give to India and Brazil - and then to block free passage between the US.

Hard to know what motivates Sanders beyond do-goodism and disregard for, or more likely ignorance of, our NAFTA-USMCA obligations.

Biden has put the Montana national guard on alert for a possible invasion of British Columbia in a sign of total disrespect for Justin Trudeau. You heard it here first. Biden doesn't suffer fools much.

I don't know what Canada intends, but I think PM Trudeau should make it clear the U.S. should be selling vaccine to Canada especially after we hogged it when we wanted it for ourselves. A U.S. rebuke on that should be met with Canada establishing its own drug manufacturing capacity, then look at reverting to earlier patent regime for drugs so they become generics in fewer years. I would immediately require Americans transiting Canada to and from Alaska to either be fully vaccinated (seven days after the second Pfizer or Moderna, etc.) or quarantine for 14 days ending with a negative PCR test.

That would subject to review after Canadians are fully vaccinated and new cases levels in the U.S. are low.

We can't expect vaccine-short Canada will allow our unvaccinated yahoos into their country without a 14-day quarantine (at our expense) especially when we're giving away or selling vaccine to countries other than Mexico and Canada, trade partners we shouldn't have stiffed on covid vaccine in the first place.

I want you to bear in mind there would be no Joe Biden if there had not been a Donald Trump. Then there would have been no Donald Trump if Obama had done something for lower-income whites.

He didn't except for Obamacare, a right idea done the wrong way.

And there would have been no Obama if Bush hadn't started the Iraq War and screwed up the economy.

    According to this website:

    https://www.mondaq.com/canada/gover...columbia-current-covid-19-travel-restrictions

Americans do have to quarantine to enter British Columbia.

Well this seems to be limited to Alaskans and has a lot of stipulations. However I don't disagree that Canada has a right to end this if they choose. I'm unclear why it's so important to you however. What is your interest in preventing Alaskans from driving back to their state?

It would be used to send a message to Joe if he ships covid vaccine to other than Canada or Mexico that it was never okay under the USMCA to hog vaccine as we did in the first place and then add insult to injury by sending vaccines out of North America. There will be a reckoning over centralizing USMCA vaccine production in the United States and us then hogging nearly the entire output.

Is Canada SHORT on vaccinations? My understanding was they had the pandemic more under control, up there, than we do, down in the states. I find it hard to believe the U.S. would leave Canada w/ an insufficient supply of vaccinations. I recommend you dig deeper into this; if your assumption is true, there will certainly be a Canadian news source carrying the story, which you can link.

Would you have ANY factual basis for your character assassinations? I doubt that either Todd or Sanders hate things that are, "good," for Canada or the U.S.-- examples, please!

The Trump character assassinations far and wide out strip my comments about two politicians of the Democratic party.

So you admit there is no factual basis for your claims: this is just about payback. Thanks.

I have no urge to defend against lying posters.

Bone up on Chuck Todd and Bernie Sanders if you dare.

Because you, who know so much more about them than me (supposedly), cannot come up with any examples to back up your allegations?-- lol!

Seeing as you are exiting the conversation with a flagrant, unsupportable LIE-- by calling me, "lying," just for asking you for examples to back up your other slanders-- you have shown your own, perfidious nature, discredited your integrity, & demonstrated the worthlessness of your word on anything, without objective proof to back it up (such as that I am lying in my post). Woe, to be you.

Yet you have no proof it was you I spoke of saying I do not have to defend against Lying. Attacking me is your way to post.

Yeah, right. Your post, replying to me, saying--
-- was not addressing me in your first line; it had no place, whatsoever, in your response, huh? Just a random, non sequitor? Your disingenuousness is so transparent, so poorly covered up, one would think it would be more of an embarrassment to you to post your facile disownings of your own words, than to simply remain mute. But, I guess, some people have no sense of propriety, by which to feel ashamed (and, of course, you have no proof, either, as to whom I might be referring-- other than common sense).

Or was it that you couldn't resist one more chance to baselessly fling mud at my character, by saying that my pointing out that your first charge against me, of lying, had no basis, was actually my, "way to post," through, "attacking," you. I only attack with the truth. People of honor tend not to see statements of patently obvious truth, as attacks against their character, BTW.
