It is two sides fighting. The police could just round them up, put them in a colosseum, put up a lot of cameras, and let them have a go at it. The Proud Boys are every bit willing participants in the violence as are the AntiFa. It appears the only difference, is that the AntiFa doesn't appear to have the girlfriend problem. It probably makes the Proud Boys, more frustrated, more angry.

I had a great time in Germany, on Uncle Sugar's dime of course....But, I think part of the reason I had such a positive experience there was because instead of hanging out with American's over there, I made German friends, and dated a German girl from Wurzburg and basically immersed myself in the culture....American's I knew that didn't like their time there basically were hermits on base, and refused to go out among the people....I really miss the food, and drink, and the how when going into a local Gasthaus, the regulars at the 'stamtish table' (excuse my spelling) if they found out you were an American would see how fast they could get you fall down drunk....All in good fun of course....I had a great time in Europe, I visited Spain, and Holland. I wouldn't trade my time there, nor the friends I made for anything...

My bad....I thought you were talking about the NY Repub club thing...Anyway, annoying or not, people didn't have a right to assault him....If they didn't like what he was doing, or if he was disrupting the peace, then get the police involved...I'm sure that there are ordinances regulating levels of noise...But, it isn't up to them to do anything physical themselves.

That's what I did when I came to the US first in 1993. Immersed myself into the US culture. Next thing you know, I met a nice US girl from Pennsylvania, and we are still married 28 years later, with two kids, both dual citizens.

Of course, I still feel like an outsider sometimes. People still pick up immediately on my German accent, and there are still subtle cultural things I don't get, to the embarassment of my teenage son. And, then, there are of course people like our fellow poster in this thread and a couple of other PF posters, who cannot see beyond my Germanic roots and always have to bring up this point, as if someone being from Germany but living here for decades would have no right to contribute to the political debate. These are the people that would incentivize me to go back home, but I won't with my family being here.

I don't condone people getting physical. I just think that anyone might shove someone when being pushed hard enough. In particular when you have a phone shoved in your face at the same time, knowing full well they are taking a video of you to post it and slander you on the web.

Blame the media for that....We wouldn't have those impressions if that wasn't what we saw on our news casts....I'd say, if you don't think they should be labeled an "angry ignorant mob" then they should stop acting like one....

You're kidding right? And I suppose that the left was all just like, "oh why are you picking on us?" right? Give me a break...

And it has been shown how democrats when in power "gerrymander" their districts as well...Spare me the false characterization you are attempting here...

"Essentially"???? So, what you are saying here is that you have a hatred of Republican's, so instead of debating, and trying to form ideas to agree on, you are going to just make **** up....Got it....

I'm done with you, your post show NO substance, and are little more than flaming....Come on back when you want to discuss issues instead of ad hom groups of people....

    Ah Schrodinger's Liberal

At the same time both an angry violent mad-person, while simultaneously a weak-willed snowflake full of LibTears.

Well, Hopefully you'll never feel that from me....While we probably disagree on political affairs, I hope that I never try to make you feel unwanted in this, YOUR country now as well...Just a side note, where in Germany are you from?

Yeah, that's a real problem with Social media these days....It's all about 'shaming' people....In that, it won't end well for people....

When did I ever whine about guns? Never. But I sure am hearing a lot of whining about liberals being mean from you and yours. What's up with that?

Thanks, I've never felt unwelcome from people in direct conversations, from both sides of the aisle. Of course, being a German helps, because Germans are usually lumped into the "good" foreigner pile.

I am from Middle Germany, state Hessen, no too far from Frankfurt. We have quite a few military bases around the area, a big one in Wiesbaden. When my US wife lived in Germany with me for two years, she liked to go there to get her Taco Bell fix (they have McD and BK in Germany, but Taco Bell never caught on). Then, 9/11 happened and they closed off the bases to any non-military people, even Americans.

How could you be married for 28 years if you met her in 1993?

Okay, so I watched the video. What I saw was one woman getting in his face. Then another woman trying to pull her away. There was a scuffle, but certainly not a mob. Soros must be losing his grip!

Oops, typo :). She'd kill me for that. In fact, we are only married for 17 years, we dated across the ocean for a while.

I've travelled the world, extensively. I've lived on three continents, and travelled to all but Antarctica. There are so many of us who, like me, who are well travelled, well educated, who are also supporters of this president. And yet, so many on the left who frankly only dream about being well travelled and educated find it necessary to transfer their own inadequacies as justification why they are so absolutely intolerant of those of us who continue to support Trump. It's insidious.

Take a long look at this incident. It's the brownshirt behavior that folks like me have been pointing out and predicting as an outcome of the progressive movement in this nation. It's classic. Fear of the successful. Reliance on the oppressive dogma to overcome morality. All of the hallmarks of societal slide into authoritarianism are being actively cultivated by those in the left these days. And you know what? There are a lot of us who are taking notes, documenting these little breakdowns as they happen.

We all watched, with horror as the BLM mob rioted across the nation burning their own neighborhoods and striking fear into the public. All necessary, and now we have these ANTIFA ******s attempting to rekindle the violence that folks like mr Obama were so inculcated with instigating. It's why mr Holder now travels the nation trying to stoke these behaviors. It's why ms Clinton is actively voicing the plan to her followers.

This isn't anything more than the recognition that the "Blue Firewall" has been irrevocably broken, and thank God it was. Else we'd have slid into Venezuelan discord during the HRC reign....

This is all part of a ploy.

Just looked at some of the internal polling results from Florida that I rec'd on Saturday.

"This survey included over 2,000 live interviews with a projected universe reflecting a historic midterm election turnout among Democratic and women voters. In short, this assumes a challenging electoral scenario for Republicans, but one we are presently rising above. We currently show Ron with a ( ) point lead. Ron’s lead is larger at +7% among voter that have already cast vote by mail ballots."

DeSantis is pulling away from Gillum and the Dems are besides themselves... As a result, the fringe starts to melt.

I worked across the installations once upon a time. My favorite was going to Heidleberg for Popeye's. Kitzingen was a nice place, great little town, lots of charm.

I passed through Wuerzburg many times on the A3 and A7 going south to the alps. Still have colleagues at the University there and have visited a few times. It's a nice place. You probably had Frankenwein im Boxbeutel? One of the best.

Note in edit: I have held the opinion for a long time that, if most of us on this forum were to meet at an airport bar and didn't know anything about the other's politics, we'd probably get along just fine having a beer together. It's the anonymity of the internet forum combined with strong political beliefs and egos that creates the trouble.

That's why I like to inject a personal story into the debate every once in a while, because I feel that makes the opponent more human in the other's eyes and, thus, less of an enemy.

I just did....you can google up the Bangers helping the Democrats out in Chicago.

Its how Jane Byrne got re-elected.

Oh and I already gave you who to look up for those Gangster Disciples.

Also the CRIPS are well known in your Aunty Maxines District.

It was a GOP rally. I already sourced that it is. And inviting the founder of Proud Boys is inviting them to a GOP rally.
