    https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/22/politics/donald-trump-democrats-mueller-russia-feud/index.html

Trump's "I don't do cover ups" is the equivalent of Nixon's, "I am not a crook." I guess Trump forgot about the hush money payments, hidden by illegal campaign contributions and fraudulent bank filings, given to multiple women in order to maintain their silence during the 2016 campaign season.

And just in case anyone thought that Trump was actually serious about pursuing that infrastructure deal, try to remember that the man is suuuuper petty. And for those who want to hang their hat on Trump's ability to supposedly go it alone, I ask that you take note of the fact that Trump has spent $1.57 Billion dollars to build 1.7 miles of wall along the southern border.

This is further justification for the reason that 60% of Americans do not think he should be re-elected. And that number seems low, but I'll take it. Make it so!

The last thing I'd trust globalist Democrats who hate America with, is American infrastructure.

Ah imo both are just playing to their base and 20. Pelosi's House wants to impeach, and it's increasing in demands. Trump has to remain the victim (I did nuzzling to obstruct) for his base.

But 55% overall don't want to impeach. But only 42% approve of Trump. And most have decided he "did something."

Pelsoi and Schumer have been led down Trump's compromise path before, only to see him back out. So they knew there was no deal. And Pelsoi spoke to her caucus with "coverup."

Bottom line: Trump needs to be the victim, and Pelsoi needs a solid maj to conclude he's lying about something and using Barr to cover it up.

If you look at cities run by the DNC, giant portions live in tent cities and Democrats step over them to aid and abet needy foreign nationals. Believing a Democrat has Americans interest at heart is a sucker's bet.

You realize that Trump - as the person charged with executing the laws of the country - would be the one tasked with building that infrastructure, right?

Yes, all those people are equally corrupt.

Glad to see the trumpets are finally acknowledging he is — at minimum — just as bad as those other people.

Mr. Trump is only reinforcing the argument from critics who claim he does not have the temperament for the position. He would have done better optically if he worked on a bipartisan infrastructure bill. As it stands, it appears Mr. Trump is placing himself above the country.

Pelosi is talking about impeachment offenses now. I didn't think the Dems would go down that road, but maybe they see a political benefit. The obstruction section of the Mueller report was very damning.

Democrats have been tasked with doing their jobs, instead of doing nothing but obstructing and trying impeach the president. Unless, their job is to do nothing, obstruct, cause chaos and try to impeach the president for reasons they all made up?

Part of their job is oversight. Trump made it clear he’s holding America hostage until congress stops doing its job.

The Democrats, as a whole, are behaving like bitter children, and the ridiculousness has gone on long enough. Additionally, at this point you'd have to wonder at the wisdom of Trump wasting his time trying to negotiate with them anyhow, when they've proven they have ZERO desire to negotiate. (Does anyone remember the "not even one dollar" so-called "negotiation" for the border wall?) It just wastes Trump's time to negotiate with people who will not negotiate.

Democrats can stomp their feet all they want over this, or they can cut the crap with the endless pettiness and witchhunts and get down to actually trying to work with the current administration for the good of the country.

I'm so sick of this "party over country" crap. All it has done is lead us to our current virtually unresolvable impasse.

If Democrats refuse to work with Trump, and insist on wasting their time with these endless witchhunts instead, there really isn't much the Republicans can do alone. This may please the far left, but I think the average American and the average Independent is as sick of this crap as I am.

I don't blame Trump for essentially saying "enough is enough, get back to me when you can behave like adults".

Oversight is their job. It’s in the constitution and everything! He’s behaving like the spoiled child he is.

And what lasting policies did that result in?
Should we amend the constitution and remove the oversight power of congress? Or only for republicans?

    Ah yes.

CNN. The same news outlet that told us about racist Covington kids and led the hunt for the white man who shot a car full of kids.

The same outlet that wanted creepy porn lawyer for POTUS.

    Tell us moar CNN.
