169 owners turned over an unspecified amount of firearms out of just over 310,000 registered owners in NZ owning about 1.5 million firearms. Its a novel idea but clearly not an effective one.

 

There have likely been a dozen murders between yesterday and today's shooting. I'll answer your question when you express sincere concern for those 12 deaths.

When public outrage moved the Florida legislature to move to ban sales of assault rifles to minors ,it was the NRA that rushed to teenage America’s defense.

The gun crowd will repeat the usual rationalizations and try to assert that we should all accept this random warlike violence as a commonplace, but this isn’t the way civilized societies behave.

Are you not aware that many of the largest cities in Republican states are run by Democrat politicians? Dig a little deeper into the murder statistics and get back to us please. Trump's doing a ton more than Obama even pretended to do. Securing our borders, lowering the black unemployment rate, and trying to create an 'America first' attitude are all great starts. Problem is, libs continue to double down on their losing strategy of identity politics, race baiting, class warfare, etc. Dismantling the Constitution, reparations, attacking private business and individuals for differing beliefs, a nonstop barrage of attacks against straight, white, Christian males, publicly supporting groups like BLM, Antifa, increasing taxes, etc, etc.
