During the campaign, Donald said he will pick the "best people" for his cabinet appointments.

Yesterday, Donald announced his latest pick.

The Department he couldn't remember that he would completely eliminate was the Department of Energy, the agency responsible for nuclear weapons and nuclear reactor safety, radioactive waste disposal, as well as energy policy.

Yesterday, Donald picked Rick Perry to head the Department of Energy.

Just a few months ago, Trump was calling Perry stupid (for good reason.).
Now he wants him in his cabinet.
How does that work?

 

I haven't noticed any tax cheats, no wonder liberals are all upset, that seems to be the standard they are used to...

You pick a guy who has stumbled a few times and he will feel he has something to show you. Give Perry a chance in the position before you criticize him. Those that went before Perry have set a low bar for the Texas governor. Perry will work his butt off for Trump.

I do have to admit that Trump confuses me. On one hand he seems really thin skinned. For instance his tweets about SNL making fun of him. Yet on the other hand he seems willing to work with, meet with, and in some cases appoint to his cabinet those people who were his most harsh critics.

He likes to fight back no matter how petty the situation. Yet he quickly forgives no matter how brutal the insults thrown his way.

 

That's because Trump wouldn't let us see his taxes.

 

You mean other than the fact that Donald himself concealed his tax returns and hasn't paid taxes in years despite being a multi-billionaire?

 

Snark is all they have. They know the cabinet picks are as terrible as everyone else. However, the only requirement for a right winger to be happy these days is pissing off the left. I know, its the stock boom that really worries me.

It's funny, the fed after 8 years feels comfortable raising the interest rates from record lows (propping up Obama's shameful economy). If they would of done that 4 years ago we'd be in recession right now. Given we have more confidence in our economy they can get away with it.

Make no mistake, this well effect us negatively short-term but long-term we will have a stronger economy.

He beat the drunken little war monger who let State Department emails onto the computer that Anthony Wiener was using to tweet pictures of his wiener to fifteen year old girls. So comparatively, he is clearly the shining superior choice.

 

Outstanding appointment. Perry will have a chance to do what he wanted to do and effectively shut down the DOE. Get rid of the climate evangelicals, stop the DOE from impeding economic growth. Get rid of the Solyndra boondoggles. Stop subsidizing expensive unreliable "green energy" and concentrate on making the US energy independent and prosperous.

I am stoked more and more every day with what Trump is doing.
