Anti-gay American Family Association isn’t happy about Walmart’s “pro-homosexual” commercial

The odious stench of homophobia rears its ugly, moronic head yet again, this time in response to a same-sex Walmart ad:

Unfortunately, two men sharing a Little Debbie snack was apparently enough to rile AFA, which sent a livid message to its followers demanding they rise up against Walmart and its “cultural revolution.”

What can be done to combat such pathetic stupidity?

Are homophobes an inferior sub-species incapable of grasping the most basic concepts of decency and equality?

Or are they envious of LGBTQ people due to their own quashed inner longings for same-sex couplings?

 

How do gays or for that matter asexual persons an so on defy biology?

They are surely defying bigots however.

 

I think most people cringe at male couples in public. There's probably a biological/evolutionary explanation for that. You can call it homophobia if it makes you feel better. There's no need to virtue signal and hold 'non-believers' over the fire. None of this facist PC enforcement is necessary. All that's needed is enforcement of law when someone has been legitimately discriminated against.

 

Biology calls for males to mate with females, that's how babies are made and mankind perpetuates itself.

And if this commercial is defying anything, it's that someone finally made one which didn't feature women or minorities. Hell, when was the last time you saw a commercial featuring only white men? Don't you find it odd that in a time when white people are fading fast from commercials that Walmart chose not to use blacks, Hispanics, orientals or muslims in this particular commercial?

 

In case you haven't noticed, human bodies are designed for male-female relationships. The parts fit. Male-male? Female-female? Not so much.

 

Sorry but if there was something anti biology and anti survival for having a certain percent of the population gay it would had been breed out of us over a few hundred thousands years.

The very fact that it had not been breed out of the human population over that time period tell us that it is as normal as being heterosexual.

Normal? Using your breeding scenario, the same logic would mean that most deformities would be also be gone. I wouldn't call a person who's born blind normal, it's not unusual, but it's not normal because the eyes aren't doing what eyes are supposed to do.

 

But some of human specie's greatest thinkers and achievers have been gay - their contributions may not have been reproduction, but they have added to the survival of the specie in their own way.

The father of today's modern computers was gay and his contribution led to the survival of an estimated 2 million humans during WWII. For his efforts, morons like those calling for this boycott had him chemically castrated. How many humans have you saved?

 

So how does that make it normal?

 

I think the problem is you are conflating two issues. You are correct for the most part that biology calls for males to mate with females but that does not really have anything to do with the core issue. The main issue for gays or the LGBT community here is family. Whether you want to call it marriage, union, cohabitation, partnership or whatever term you like that is the core issue. That issue has nothing to do with biology. Any human male and female meeting certain requirement can breed. You don't need to be married, in love or in a relationship to produce offspring. Sex or breeding is all biology or nature cares about. The family aspect of marriage, love, commitment and everything we associate with family is cultural. If you truly believed that marriage is about breeding and producing offspring then you would not allow a couple to marry if one is incapable of having children. You also would not allow a couple to marry, if they choose willingly not to have children.

 

I don't think any decent people are suggesting that gay people should be eliminated. Additionally, it's not necessary for intelligent/talented gay people to make an issue of their sexuality.

 

Why do men who are gay have to talk with that high pitch?

It that like a prerequisite to being the female in the relationship or something?

If it's not then you should be criticizing Walmart for stereotyping gays like that.

Cause that guy in the video is a huge flamer.

 

Mother Nature requires only the survival of a specie - if nature has decided that 3 - 4% of any population should be homosexual to help further the specie - then it is normal. Since there seems to be a gay component of every society back through written history, it is not unreasonable to assume that having a small percentage of humans be homosexual IS normal for any given population, and given that gay individuals have made tremendous contributions to society, we cannot rule out this possibility.

 

Your exposure to the gay community is rather limited if you think gay people all talk in a high pitch.
Do you think that the actor who played Gandalf has a high pitched voice? He is gay.

I know what you’re saying and I know what my response is, but I don’t know if I can properly express it in words. So if I fumble this please don’t crucify me.

First of all, breeding is not a requirement of a proper marriage, it’s a product of it and can’t occur in a gay marriage.

Second, I’ve loved men. I loved my father, my uncles, my son and my cousins. I could even say I loved my four best friends who were my ushers and best man at my wedding, but I didn’t love them ‘that way.’

I was never told to like women, I just did because it came naturally.

I have two gay cousins and a gay sister, so this subject crosses family lines with my belief system on what is proper and natural. It’s not easy.

 

That's depressing to consider. Fortunately though that sort of thing isn't a plausible reality in the world of today.
