Any democrats ashamed of how the Kavanaugh thing was handled?

As in:

- Waiting until the last convenient minute to drop the bomb
- Smearing the hell out of this guy with zero evidence
- Shielding ford from the Republicans offer to go to her and take her testimony
- Grandstanding to help further their future presidential bid
- guilty until proven innocent and so on

As a Republican, I'm not ashamed to say I'm ashamed of some things Trump does

- calling Hillary a nasty woman in the debate
- mocking Ford at a rally (even though I agree, its not something I wanted the prez doing)
- his overall tweeting in general

I'm in it for the policies and future of the Country so this stuff does not affect my voting but I'm not afraid to admit it either. In the end, I don't care what stupid things he does as long as the legislation is having progress made on it, however, that doesn't mean I like it. I notice most liberals won't ever admit anything distasteful that comes from their side of the fence. Are there any that will? I respect that quality in a democrat.

And I agree, at the end of the day I support Trump because of what he is actually getting done, the rest is just window dressing that doesn't affect me at all.

I especially like him because he is unlike any other president we've had in recent history and he tends to get the job done.

Not in an easy way but almost by sheer will power and brute force.

He's made quite a few mistakes but they are only more noticeable because its Trump, other presidents have started out making mistakes also but they are so robotic nobody but pundits actually realize it.

As for the Kavanaugh fiasco, well this is certainly not looking good for the democrats especially so close to the midterms. Their lead in the polls has all but vanished and any hope of them taking the house is pretty much gone at this point.

 

Agree, I believe the blue wave is going to be a red tsunami after this sham. Yet some still, in this forum and elsewhere, think the sham is the reason for the blue wave. I don't know how one can really believe that.

The president had the FBI do a whitewash cover up NOT AN INVESTIGATION!!

 

The FBI was allowed to do whatever they wanted to in the investigation. They weren't going to beat a dead horse.

There is no proof to substantiate Ford's claims. Nothing.

I, for one, am glad that the political theater is over. Realistically, none of the politicians from either side were really interested in the truth. The GOP was too afraid of finding out that the allegations were actually true. The Dems were too afraid to find out that the allegations were not true.

In the end, Ford was thrown under the bus, which was a pretty pre-determined conclusion given that the GOP controls the senate. Even for Collins and Manchin it was just about saving face. They had to tow the fine line to say that Ford was a liar without actually saying it. This whole political theater is really disgusting, on both sides.

Ford was thrown under the bus by standing in front of it at the invitation of the corrupt members of the New Democratic Party, and the dark ops team they assembled to help place her there.

The only people who threw Ford under the bus was:

a. The Democrats who sat on her accusations since July. The investigation could have been completely confidential.
b. The same Democrats who leaked her information
c. The lawyers the Democrats gave to Ford who either a. Didn't tell her or b. Ford lied about the offer

The GOP didn't even ask her a question so the poor little wilting violet with the uptalking little girl voice didn't get her feelings hurt. A woman questioned her.

As for her being a liar, when only 1 of the 5 people involved in her story remember it, whats the odds she's either lying or has a mental illness?

The important point here is that HER witnesses didn't say they don't remember Kavanaugh assaulting her at a party they were all at......they don't remember the party having ever occurred!

 

I am deeply ashamed that the United States Senate has deteriorated to the degree that they would select a sexual assailant to the Supreme Court.

If you think that the GOP wouldn't have done the exact same thing if the roles had been reversed, you are fooling yourself. Heck Republicans smeared one of their own with allegations of having an illegitimate black child during a primary. If they can do that they are capable of anything.

Of course they are really good at feigning righteous indignation about how Kavanaugh was treated. As I said, all political theater.
