    If I did something like raise the British flag over the US flag at a state/federal building, after saying the Brittish pledge would it help me get a career in TV/politics?

    You'll probably be ignored. The British Flagg isn't a big deal at all imho.

    Now an ISIS flag or something equally inflammatory will draw some attention. That would be the type of publicity that would draw death threats though, but it would give you attention.
