Just got finished posting about how Brandon's Energy Sec had her staff acting like defensive linemen to block cameras and reporters from asking about gas prices, then found this gem. Arrogant Obnoxious Communist, the horse faced know-nothing who said the world would catch on fire in 12 years because of cow farts, dodges questions about gas prices. Said it in the other thread, going to copy/paste it here: People on the right know the far-left progressives that run Brandon's administration wont entertain discussion of to ease our oil crisis because they don't want the crisis eased. But with midterms coming up they cant take the risk of people on the left finding this out and so we can expect to see more of this.

 

Of coarse she did… Inflation does not effect politicians, only the small people they enjoy stepping on… (hint, the ones who vote for them)

These so called 'journalists' lobbing softballs teeing up clowns like Psaki to rehash the same half truth about '9000 unused drilling permits'. Do you ever notice how she, or others parroting this bs, don't take questions on that subjet? Its because they fear what comes next, they fear what actual journalists want to ask. Questions about why the Brandon administration keeps touting '9000 drilling permits' when it knows damned well they aren't the only permitting that needs to happen. A drilling permit is one of many, many permits involved before the oil or NG goes from ground to fuel tank and the Brandon administration is slow walking or outright denying them all; average 160 days to process fossil fuel related permit and many require subsequent permits already be approved to file. And that's just one line of questioning they would face if actual journalists had them on the hook, there are dozens and dozens more.

if we had more foreign oil, they would be forced too

Dude... you have been spamming this nonsense for months and months and months. Please, stop! Trump negotiated with a few of our oil producing allies to temporarily scale back their operations in order for US producers to pick up the slack by increasing their outputs during COVID in order to prevent mass bankruptcies in the American oil industry. They didn't want to, and had contractual commitments, but Trump got them to play ball because he put American first. By the time Brandon took office those temporary adjustments had passed. Now compare that to what Brandon has just done with Russia oil where he cut off a supply but didn't replace it with anything.

 

Probably because oil companies aren't elected public servants beholden to people to answer for the things they do.

Yea, I could. And they'd surely ignore me just like AOC and other progs have ignored questions lobbed at them. And I'd know the reason why because its obvious: they're greedy but would rather not have the bad press. Trump had them scale back during covid as he did not want us to have cheap gas, now that demand has picked up, we lack supply, that is all on Trump

We desperately need price controls taken from those very profits. People who were making a decent living as Uber drivers are going out of business. Go ahead, tell me the oil cos can't afford to lose a little money but we can afford to lose the first good job we've had in our lives.

Do you honestly think that approving a permit provides fuel for your car overnight?? You already mentioned half a year just to process the paperwork. How about getting the men and machinery in place to drill, transport and refine and distribute it?
