Apparently now in the hands of one of our politicians, Marise Payne....

Her father and brother are now in Bangkok.
I wont start a poll, but will simply ask these questions:
"Are you in favour of the death sentence in the koran for those who commit apostacy"
"Is there any other faith worldwide that has this penalty"
"What would be the effect on islam if this death penalty was removed by islamic leaders"

 

No, I don’t think anybody should be persecuted because they do not agree with others on their belief of how to celebrate their faith in a deity. Simple as that.


Is there a faith??? In the past there was and in some ways there is similar types of ideals but I don’t know of another faith that holds those penalties now.

Well now, the effect on Islam would be a stronger belief for you would have show real faith to receive the reward promised. It would not be follow what we say and you will be rewarded.

We know that many follow a faith because they hope the promises held within will materialise. In other words prostate yourself to your deity and they will give you great reward. How do we know, somebody told us.

It is wrong this lass should fear for her life because she no longer believes in an male dominated religion that preaches join or hate, where she comes from. BUT that is the life she is trying to leave.

Why is this case getting so little coverage...its almost as though the media and politicians dont want to upset muslims....they even had Craig Foster and his entourage pleading for the ball players release....

Was it too hard for the big heap Payne....The official story is that the girl changed her mind and decided to go to Canada....I wonder why...is she safer there....or did Payne just encourage her to change her mind for political reasons....she doesnt want an apostate living in Australia....might upset muslims...easy way out...convince her to go to Canada...

like... is this a teenager/family spat from a culture very different to ours or is this a true refugee issue... and if it's a true refugee issue then does that mean all women/people who renounce Islam from Saudi Arabia and potentially other muslim countries are refugees...

Also, what exactly is our gauge for refugee status, I know Labor was adamantly against the white south african farmers but jumped at the chance to grant her asylum... perhaps being able to afford flying in by plane as opposed to boat... being a woman or maybe a person of colour as opposed to being male or a white refugee.... and does this mean our refugee program discriminate against the poor, male, other religions and white members of society?

I don't think it would make a big difference (removing death penalty) as often being ostracised from your family is threat enough
