Not to mention that they are modular so they can easily serve multiple functions or shoot multiple calibers of ammunition by simple exchanging of components.
This extends the useful life of the firearm, makes maintenance easier etc leading to a far better value overall.
Why should I be forced to buy multiple niche firearms rather than one all rounder with a few different swappable components? Why does Galileo hate the poor?

I remember when the ban was going to go into effect. There were lines out the doors of some guns shops with people trying to buy ARs before the ban went into effect.

Only if Roberts holds up under pressure and he hasn't done that in a long time. Obamacare rulings etc.

Why did people in the old west need the double action revolver the "peacemaker" colt over old single action cap and balls? Because they're an improved piece of technology and not an antique. They are more reliable, more easily used, more safe to the user and bystanders, take readily available ammunition and spare parts etc.
Why do you use a cell phone instead of an old switchboard operated hanger?
Why don't you wear a zoot suit?
Why would you choose to buy a kevlar vest over plate mail?

Its a modern rifle with parts most available and cheap. Its modular so it can fit many roles with swappable parts so I don't have to buy 4 or 5 different guns. One lower can handle multiple calibers of ammunition further increasing utility.
Its ergonomic and the sights are top of the line, making it more likely I'll hit my target and not something else. Its adjustable (well it can be if you put the stock on it) so multiple householders can use it effectively if needed.

What lawful purposes do I put mine to? Well my AK anyway (similar though to AKs you can add "incredibly robust and forgiving on maintenance " ). Hog hunting, defense of homestead, target shooting, and as part of my collection. The javelina down here are legally and environmentally considered an invasive species, they're vermin, no limit no season no regs. You can hunt them from the air with helicopters but the AK is unsporting enough for me. Some ranchers down here will invite people down to shoot on the ranch to exterminate them. They donate the meat to shelters and we eat quite a bit of it too.

Why does anyone need a 700 HP sports car? Lucky for us in this country we don't have to justify owning anything we want to anyone. The government has to justify the reason why they ban or restrict it.

Being unarmed and helpless against criminals who don't care about the law is not in the interests of protecting anything, much less actual communities. More activist judges usurping the rights of the people due to their political agenda or fear. How sad...

Assault weapons DO NO EXIST. That is a political term and utter bovine scatology.

Also it's the Bill Of Rights, not the bill of needs.

In reality the DOJ has admitted assault weapons in this country do not exist in U.S. vs. Defense Distributed.
