Have there been any genetic or biological studies in the US conducted to find out why white people cannot play basketball and football? Considering that 62% of the US population is white there must be tens of millions more white people available to play these sports than any other demographic, yet the NFL and the NBA are 70% and 74% percent black. This seems odd since blacks make up only 14% of the population of the United States. Would this not suggest a national emergency among the white population? Football and basketball require running jumping and throwing. The low percentage of whites in these sports would suggest that whites cannot run, jump, or throw. Running, jumping, and throwing are important abilities going all the way back to the beginning of humanity. Whites seemed to have done fine for 200,000 years until the modern NFL and NBA. Now, suddenly, whites seem to be going the way of the Neanderthals in contemporary US sports. Are there any experts studying this?
Doesn't apply in Europe. Some of the best footballers in the UK were white though I see that changing. Runners and throwers apparently were genetically selected for moving long distances overland in the absence of trains and cars, and for being able to shoot monkeys out of trees with a blowpipe or spear. I AM KIDDING! before anyone starts some woke response. and tries to guilt shame me.
People of African decent generally have more fast-twitch muscle fiber than other groups. This allows for faster starts, higher jumps, etc. The link below references this to some extent. https://www.podiumrunner.com/training/the-role-of-muscle-fibers-in-running/
Just for the anecdote, my first representation of USA went with basketball, so when I was around 6-7, in my mind americans were all tall black people. I was a little confused then when I saw american politicians at the TV.
if a country bought white slaves (the strongest and healthiest) brought them to that country, that changes evolution via natural selection evolution doesn't always support the strongest, the smartest, the fastest - where we headed from here?
You are making a ridiculous leap, unsupported by logic. What you propose would only be true, if whites, in the same proportion as blacks, chose to pursue careers in these sports. However, as there are more opportunities for whites in other high paying careers (which don't threaten one's physical or mental well- being, as does football), it is reasonable to believe that the number of whites who set their sites on football careers, is a much lower percentage, than the number of blacks. Actually, I would speculate that the biggest factor in this, is the affordability, or unaffordability, of college. The average wealth of a white family is much greater than the average black family. Add to that, since schools are financed through property taxes, and far more whites live in areas with high property values and better schools, and it should not come as any surprise that access to a higher education is much more feasible, on average, for white students, than for their black counterparts. In other words, for a much higher proportion of blacks, getting a sports scholarship is their best shot at getting a college degree; whites are much less likely to need to rely on this. Is the math now starting to make more sense, in your mind? The same thing used to be true of boxing, that blacks dominated among champions and top contenders, in most weight classes. And it is quite understandable to me why, even someone who was a good boxer, if he had other career options that did not require being punched in the head, might opt for those. Today, however-- and I don't know if this should be taken as a sign of desperate conditions throughout the world for white, working class people, as well, or something more-- there are a slew of white boxers, among the top ranked, as well as Latinos. The heavyweight champ is Englishman Tyson Fury (his real name). In the light heavyweight class, you will not see a better boxer anywhere, than Beterbiev, born in Russia, but now a Canadian citizen: just amazingly impressive, in both his technique, and in his sledgehammer fist, punching power. There have also, in recent years, been white champion middleweights, from Ireland, for example. But I am digressing a bit. Basketball, I treat separately, because of its special emphasis on height. While that is an advantage in football, & even boxing (though arm length, "reach," is the greater factor), height does not figure as prominently as an almost essential attribute, as it does in basketball. Here, it is just a matter of genetics: Homo sapiens' European body type evolved to be shorter and stockier, than its taller & slimmer, African counterpart (which made it better adapted to the intense sunlight of Africa). Since nearly everyone in the NBA is abnormally tall, and since someone of African descent is far more likely to be abnormally tall-- well, you do the math.
