I get the feeling that Trump supporters no longer care for, or perhaps in many cases, never cared for other Republicans, (although they probably support them versus any Democrat, of course).

But it seems that the Bushes are no longer liked at all....

    nor other big name Repubs....McCain...Romney....Jeb....Cheney....Nixon?

Reagan seems to get a pass....and oddly, I see Lincoln getting praised by Trump and his supporters, which makes no sense at all.

But all other Repubs other than Trump seem to be on very thin ice, either past or present.

    Discuss.

Drumpf supporters are basically in a tight-knit cult, Bobby.

Their leader could "stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody" and these "poorly educated", star-struck dupes would still have his back.

We can only hope that their orange leader soon tells them to drink the purple Kool-Aid and lie down on the ground...

Um . . . why wouldn't members of the party that freed the slaves be in support of Lincoln?

Bush left office with almost a negative approval rating. Reagan has fared somewhat better throughout the years, but he had some major flaws. I like to think it's more about conservatives evolving thanks to the internet that allows us to get out of what has been called the uni-party. Bush is a scumbucket, his father was a scumbucket, McCain was a scumbucket, Romney is a scumbucket, and it's time to flush the last of them down the toilet.

I am the super fan of Ronald Reagan. I am less inclined to like the first Bush president but am fully a fan of Bush 43. As to Trump, what he does I enjoy. What he says from time to time .... not much at all. But acts are more important than words.

I am a fan of Mitt Romney. I do not see him as a few republicans do nor the Democrats see the man. We would have been better off with Romney than with Obama.

    Lincoln disgusts me.

I know what he did. And he invaded sovereign states. And due to his war, he put a black mark on the South they still endure and he created a case for blacks to spend all day long whining.

For those excusing Abe for invading VA due to the attack on Ft. Sumter, pretend today it was Trump invading VA over a silly attack on Sumter. I doubt many would accept his massive war.

Trump's fan base are Trump Republicans, which means they are not really Republicans.

The problem in the 2016 election is that the Democrats nominated the worst possible candidate. 90 million Americans could not make up their minds between two extremely poor candidates and they stayed home on election day. Ten million more wasted their vote on candidates who had no chance of winning. They thought they were protesting. Instead, they enabled Trump to win. A vote for a third party candidate was a vote for Trump.

The result of this is that Trump was chosen by angry, disenfranchised voters who blamed the government for their problems. They took to heart Trump's "drain the swamp" rhetoric -- a euphemism for ridding the political structure of its leaders -- and they wanted chaos. That is why they are happy with Trump even though he is an idiot. In a way, they admit it. They rarely defend Trump and the last person they want to talk about is Trump. Look at the threads that interest Trump's fans.

However, Trump is an anomaly. Millions of Americans learned their lesson. Apathy and indecision are poor excuses for throwing your vote away or not voting. The result of apathy and indecision was the Trump government.

Abe did not have the goal of freeing anybody. His proclamation had no backing in congress. It was a personal edict by a man who fancied himself a dictator. He jailed the press. Pretend today Trump did all of that. Went head first against Congress, invaded states with the Regular Army and jailed people who dissented.

Most would want trump flayed alive.

A better analogy would be Trump attacking New York for killing unborn (and the born) babies.

Should Trump let local and state governments just kill Americans without so much as a by your judicial leave? Same as slavery, except slaves weren't killed right out of the gate.

That is so wrong. I have no idea why i confront you but that is entirely wrong. I feel the party is stronger due to Trump and not weaker. Bush made it stronger. His dad weakened it. And Reagan was top president of all in my opinion.

I have no clue why Sandy does not realize how good Trump actually is. Trump is not the kind to be real diplomatic. But look at the so called diplomatic presidents. We had a lousy time with Obama. Sandy flees discussing him. He backed Hillary to her wader hip boots.

They can't get past the person that is Trump, that's why they hate him.

If you took the person out of the equation and just looked at numbers he is actually doing very well on all fronts.

    Compared to most presidents anyways.

Shows how short sighted the left is.

Why wouldn’t Lincoln get praise? The heart of the Republican Party against the democrats racism. Trump’s actions are the most conservative since Reagan. The RINOS have pandered to the left’s PC without realizing they were being played. Trump fights back and why the left has gone insane.

But are these not the same people that supported W (or even McCain/Palin and so many others)?
Or did they always hate these people?
Didn't they hate Ted Cruz? Do they like him now? Or Rubio?

    Is it fickleness? Or....?

In short, simply put, in Lincoln's day, the Repubs were the Dems and the Dems were the Repubs.

LOL, sure. Since then democrats have instituted identity politics where
race is still the primary motivation for race based legislation. Some things never change.

Democrats have always been the party of race instead of the party of Americans.

    Well..............this is off topic.

So back to Trump versus other Republicans that used to be liked.
Did you vote for George W? Do you still support him?

I did not support HW Bushes war or GWs. Most depressing since it would make no difference in the centuries ME problems that have not changed since I have been alive and before. Once engaged what is one supposed to do?

At least Trump recognizes the futility but it is fun to watch the left’s 180 on the issue due to TDS.

Why don't become involved in one of my threads and find out. But you don't want to do that. Like many of Trump's fans, you wish to avoid reality.

I noticed you didn't challenge anything in my post. You just said it was wrong. You never said why it was wrong, which makes your criticism meaningless.
