It seems progressives aren't understanding what "created equal" means in terms of Declaration of Independence as they continually whine about economic egalitarianism...... They are created equal in the eyes of the state, meaning the state treats each citizen equally in regards to the law. It also implies each citizen has the inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness(property). Egalitarianism, in a social philosophy sense(economic egalitarianism), is that every citizen should be afforded the same economic status as everyone else. It's basically the crux of socialism/ communism as the goal was to ensure each citizen got the same amount of stuff and of course the only way to make that happen was to put the state in control of the economy/production. Then the state could distribute what it produces evenly. One promotes freedom and one promotes slavery to the state. Why is it EVERYTHING progressives advocate for, forces the individual to slave for someone else? Do they HATE freedom for the individual?
