I personally think that it is astonishingly unlikely that we humans are the most
technologically advanced species in four dimensional space - time.

Once five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten and eleven or more space time dimensions are considered..... the odds of we humans being the most technologically advanced....... (based on my minuscule understanding of The Law of Probability, String Theory, The Anthropic Principle, The Cyclic Model of the Universe and the fledgling Multiverse Theory)........
    is astronomically low!

For now, the question is pretty mute due to the incomprehensibly vast distances and times involved. The odds are vastly in favor of the next lifeform bearing even the most remote resemblance to humans in terms of capacity and technology being in another galaxy. Time-wise, life has several billions of years at least in which to develop a civilization such as ours, and we only reached this point over the course of centuries and, depending on how closely you focus on modern astronomy and space exploration, mere decades. Then there is the question of how long a civilization is likely to survive at all; we will be fortunate indeed to escape Earth before it (or an external influencing factor, such as the sun, a gamma ray burst or a large impactor) wipes us out anyway, or resets us back to the stone age for a good while.

No matter how many worlds may end up having life of some form on them, the vast majority will likely resemble the earliest (and longest by far) period of life on Earth, during which it was microbial or otherwise very simple, not at all like Earth's far more recent animal life, let alone animals with anything resembling the human intellect.

Not according to those pilots who got out flown by the tic tac UFO, operating around a naval group exercise. The pilot that appeared on several news shows said he wanted to fly that thing! He was one of the witnesses and we have fighter cam footage of it as well. Which has been released to the public.

I think we have a good chance of surviving in some form in the long run, but yes the main determining factor will be if technology develops sufficiently that our eggs aren't all in one basket (Earth) when a global-scale disaster bad enough to threaten all human life happens. It will, but the timescales involved are vast (and the century to century odds small) compared to the pace of technological development.

Yes, we would find many times more simple lifeforms than complex ones, but given that there are probably many millions of worlds with life out there, at least a few are likely more complicated than ours, even within this galaxy.

But we also have to remember that Earth has its own unique history that has shaped its life. We wouldn't be here now had the dinos not gotten wiped out, for instance, and every other major climatic event must have had similar effects on the course of life's evolution. What kind of geological and evolutionary history will those millions of other worlds have, and will their life be capable of evolving along a path at all similar to our own? We're talking about countless variables.

The real question is whether or not technology is a concept unique to humans.

True.......... I am of the belief that extra-dimensional aliens that are in contact with some humans are far, far, far, far more probable than extra-terrestrial aliens.....
but there is evidence for both.

Many events that have been thought of as miracles...... are really
likely the application of technology that we just do not understand yet.

I am of the belief that the author of this website has laid the foundation for
Theistic Evolutionary Theory that will explain how a G-d could evolve.....
who could plan and set in motion the universe / Multiverse......
and later fill the earth with many species that had probably already been developed on other planets.

I am of the belief that the most ancient Intelligence.... would have
originated in fundamental or nearly fundamental energy and then lower and lower and lower energetic level dimensions of space time were invented...... all the way down to our fourth dimension...... which would I am pretty sure be the youngest space - time dimensional continuum.

As there are hundreds of Billions of stars in our Galaxy and hundreds of Billions of Galaxies and every star likely has at least one planet and life arose here as well as technology and intelligence, the odds of us being alone let alone the most advanced are virtually nil. However the odds of us existing and meeting any of them are even slimmer. If the age of our Universe were a one year calendar, we were born on December 31st at 12:59 and 59.999999999seconds and will be gone by midnight.

Would you say that that event..........
would on at least some level seem to fit with the promise that
a higher intelligence than our own was going to stop humans from
having an all out nuclear war that could destroy all life on earth?

At least this sounds a lot like a promise to my thinking.... when the full
    context of this is considered:

    https://www.near-death.com/experiences/notable/howard-storm.html#a04

Personally.... I think that it is quite legitimate to think that Howard met extra-dimensional aliens during his near death experience.

That is certainly a real question, because our use of technology stems from our innate reasoning abilities. Few animals indeed are capable of using tools, let alone fashioning them out of raw materials. Then we reach solely human territory when it comes to using them for more than the most rudimentary of tasks, like scratching an itch or catching or killing some kind of food.

You are basing the assumption that they wouldn't be here because its too far to travel but you are basing that on our current technology.

Why do you think that we have reached the maximum of our knowledge when we've probably only begun.

I am sure its possible to zip around the entire galaxy as easy as you want once you know how to do it.

I think that aliens know we are here but having studied us they also realize how dangerous we are so I bet you they have quarantined our planet in the fear that we get out and wreak havoc among the stars.

Humans like to conquer, its just the way we are.

We are not a friendly species.

Having met humans, they're overrated! I think a monkey with a stick catching ants is a technological evolution over the modern child with an Iphone. Certainly a lot lot smarter.

but we also need to ask does that animal/alien need technology?...if they're well adapted to their environment they could be highly intelligent but have zero need for any advanced technology in order to survive...

Tools and other tech enhance our survival. We lost our physical prowess only because of our mental prowess, I think. We're not as strong and fast as most others, but we have a more successful survival strategy in our brains - much, MUCH more successful, in fact, in the long run. When it comes to aliens, I'm fairly certain that if they were to have the intelligence to work with tools and develop things like hunting weapons, then they would end up doing that. But, of course, there are so many variables to take into consideration also.

Given the Drake Equation and even extremely conservative numbers plugged into it, it’s impossible for humans to be the only intelligent species in the universe and nearly as impossible for us to be the most technologically advanced.

That’s not to say Earth has ever been visited by aliens. One, Space is really really big. Interstellar travel is never going to be casually easy. Two, Earth is (relatively speaking) in the ass crack of nowhere compared to the rest of the galaxy. We’re in the space equivalent of Wyoming.

I think Robert Hastings has researched UFOs shutting down underground ICBM sites and has military witnesses that he used to document it. Supposedly the something similar happened in the old USSR as well. So who knows? If this indeed happened what was the motive of the beings that were involved in those UFOs? I dunno. Just as I dunno if this is legit or not.

I have no idea if these things are ETs or something else, or even what they are. That we know our military has interacted with something bears worth investigating IMO. What that something is, is unknown. At least for the general population. Perhaps even our gov't too?

My mind is open on this issue, as anyone who has the mental state of "not knowing. The people that dismiss these things, and play the tin foil hat card "think" that they know the truth, when indeed that is just the illustration of a closed mind, for whatever reason. One thing IMO is fact though. What these pilots interacted with was not their imagination, or illusions given their high tech instruments also picked them up as well as recorded video. And exhibited flight capabilities that defy known physics. But any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic as Arthur C. Clark once wrote....and he is correct.

What I found interesting about the encounter that was covered by MSM, and their interview of one of the pilots, was that once this tic tac took off at speeds we cannot match, it appeared again at the very place he was to fly to next, before the ship called him back home. As if the tic tac could find out where his next destination was to be. I find that a bit incredible. And weird.

In regards to NDEs, I find them fascinating as well, having read Dr. Alexander's book of his own NDE. That he met his adopted sister in that realm that he knew nothing about until later(she had died a few years earlier) is also some incredible stuff. I know some say NDEs are just what happens to a dying brain, but how do they know? They of course do not know, it is an assumption. I, like everyone else have a vastly limited knowledge of this universe, of the nature of reality, and to make a call from that vastly limited knowledge is nothing more than human arrogance. So I try not to do it. I think that is what stupidity does, not intelligence, nor wisdom.

    Wow!

I also purchased Dr. Alexander's book a couple of months ago but I haven't gotten into it yet.

I think it is the relatively few negative near death experience accounts that scare people..... but from what I have read there may be a fairly simple answer to that....... We should get prepared to review our lives with absolute honesty and objectivity knowing that all events of our lives have been recorded on something far, far, far, far beyond DVD.

The whole point of this life is to learn to love others.....
and be truly thankful for our families and friends...... and our pets.....
We all fall far short of doing that every day..... but we can
admit where we go off track and improve....... and our final Life Review can be
    truly positive.

    I agree!

I believe that it would have costed multiple millions of dollars to fake the January 2011 UFO sighting over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Personally.... I doubt that they were faked!

UFO - Dome of the rock - Temple mount - Jerusalem 28.01.2011

They also correspond with an interesting event from about three days earlier.

Huge Jordanian Generators Sighted on Temple Mount
Although the reason for bringing them is unclear, Jewish activists suspect the electricity generators are a sign that Muslims plan mayhem.

Well said......... I do believe that something like infinite time has already gone by and yes.... we humans are new comers.

What do you personally think of the statement that we humans are ultimately vibrational beings composed of energy?

That is well above my Security Clearance Level.......
and a lot of people don't want that information made public......
Stephen Greer Ph.D. feels that one reason for high level officials to want
UFO phenomena covered up........ is because if the average person knew what was really out there..... it is highly unlikely that we would continue to settle for the internal combustion engine.

But.. .you may find these comments helpful:

Why would aliens spend massive effort to cross interstellar space to a backwater in the middle of nowhere and then just make lights in the sky?
