We have enough clown politicians to fill a clown car anyways, so "what difference, at this point, does it make?" ~ Hillary Clinton. :D

You are correct, the US was originally founded by European migrant fleeing tyranny, oppression, and poverty; but today many are running back to Europe for the exact same reason. It's not Socialism that makes them run for the hills, its fascism. With the growing influence of fascism in the US the wealth-gap has doubled every ten years beginning back in the 70s when the top-10% held 8% of the wealth, then ten years later they held 14% of the wealth (that's why Reagan hit 'em with a 95% tax rate), ten years later they still doubled at 30% (because Bush reversed it and then Clinton came along and deregulated the banks), then Obama took office and they ended up with 40% of the wealth, today they hold more wealth than the bottom 50% of the US population. If some major changes don't happen soon it will double again and again, until the bottom 90% are completely broke. So yes, their is something broken in the US, it's half of the population, and the top 1% still want tax breaks leaving the burden on the people with no money to pay for everything and do all the work. We are becoming a slave nation, but not the same slave nation we were yesterday. Tomorrow's slave nation will be a police state run by oligarchies. We are already past the halfway point. Prices are rising and the dollar is shrinking. Now the extremely well off might not see anything to worry about, because although there are enough private guns already in circulation for every man, woman, and child, those guns are only in the hands of about half the population. But it's the top 0.01% that control our infrastructure. So if there is an uprising they just turn off the electricity, the water, and think that instead of people going after them, the poor will be too busy killing each other and the rich will have front-row seats to enjoy the show. But it won't go down like that because the rich will still be relying on the military to take control of the farm lands and the military aren't part of that 0.01%. So it's going to get interesting over the next ten years but I don't think we'll have a total collapse until 2040. So much for the G20 forecast.
