Quite remarkable information! For all the statue topplings FDR has remained unscathed in spite of things like the Japanese internment. Also, later Democratic presidents and presidential candidates have been quite accommodating toward Confederate memorials. Read the whole thing, it's fascinating:

It should be noted that Democrats from the 1850s or so through the 1970s didn't just accommodate the Confederacy, they were the Confederacy. It was Democrats who fought the Civil War, established the KKK as a quasi militia vigilante arm of the Party, fought for Jim Crow and segregation, supported lynchings, and fought feverishly against the Civil Rights Acts all through the 1960s. FDR, while maybe not a full-throated racist, did nothing for the blacks (although his wife Eleanor did some good.) Oddly enough it was a Democrat president, LBJ, in opposition to strong Congress disagreement, who sponsored the major civil rights legislation of the 1960s. However, that was not so much to help blacks as it was to, as he is reported as quipping, get the n****r vote for the next hundred years.
