Even if you believe this girl should get an abortion, extreme outlier cases like this should not be used as the precedent to set the law for all those other cases.

Laws are, by their nature, often overly simplistic, and might not always be the right thing for every situation.

 

The biggest question to the topic at hand is, how in the blue hell is a 10-year-old pregnant? The morality of this nation is no longer existent. Poor, poor parenting, and likely liberal ones at that.

It will be interesting to see how these carve out exemptions for rape will actually work. If a woman says she was raped, is it taken at face value? What happens if an investigation is inconclusive?

A child cannot consent, thus it is rape. I guess you could argue that but that leads into your next point.

Could be neglect which leads more to molestation but it can take anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks for a woman to tell she is pregnant.

I don’t know if you have ever done much digging into childhood abuse but people do not always show they have been assaulted, especially if it is not a violent event. Reports put the chance of rape in a woman at 1 in 6. That’s pretty high odds

I do find it odd that you are talking more of an issue with whether it was rape or statutory rape (notice both words have the word rape in them) than you are the fact that this preteen could be forced by the state to have a baby because of the barbaric laws the right is implementing.
