    "
Jerome Corsi told The Associated Press he has been negotiating a potential plea but declined to comment further. He said on a YouTube show last week that he expected to be charged with lying to federal investigators, though he said at the time that he was innocent of wrongdoing."

It looks like Robert Mueller is doing what I thought he ought to be doing all along, following the money.

I have also long had no doubt that Trump mentor Roger Stone is the center of the Russia collusion effort, or was so close to it that he knew everything.

Stone is a bizarre character in his own right, but now the right's favorite crackpot writer Jerome Corsi is in the mix as well!

Only this time, he's auditioning for a singing part!

It just keeps getting better all the time.

Mueller’s team questioned Corsi as part of an investigation into Stone’s connections with WikiLeaks. American intelligence agencies have assessed that Russia was the source of hacked material released by WikiLeaks during the 2016 election that damaged Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Mueller’s office is trying to determine whether Stone and other associates of President Donald Trump had advance knowledge of WikiLeaks’ plans.

The Washington Post first reported on Corsi’s plea negotiations.

Wow! Maybe next he'll get Stone's gardner's uncle's dental hygienist's dog sitter. That'll really nail Trump!

Questioning is a common tactic of investigators. You bring someone in, you sit them down, you question them. Then you question them again at some later point. Then you question them again, and again, and again, and again, each time changing the way the questions are asked and the comparing every single answer looking for inconsistencies. The strategy here is that someone who might be lying will theoretically have a tougher time keeping the lie consistent.

But the terrifying alternate use of this tactic is when you repeatedly ask questions not to uncover a lie or crime but to create one; ie "lying to investigators". We seem to have indication that this tactic has been used by Mr Mueller's team to compel cooperation. To what extent and effect we do not yet know. Is this what happened to Mr Corsi? We don't know.

    Stone knows everything about Trump.

He has been with Trump since Trump was just a punk. He was Paul Manfort's business partner, the guy who set Manafort up with Trump. And there is little doubt that Stone did communicate with Assange, either directly, or through a chain of intermediaries.

Stone is also the only one of this terminally arrogant, corrupt and incompetent bunch, who actually knows how to protect himself.

I think Stone is another one that has never been called to testify for Mueller. That may make him a target. I'm a little surprised Trump hasn't distanced himself from Stone yet.

The final report is coming soon. I predicted two years ago that all they would get Trump for would be unpaid parking tickets from 1983. At this point, I don't even think they have that.

Your prediction failed slightly less than two years ago.

The purpose of the Mueller probe is to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 US PResidentail election and any matters arising from it.

So far, there has been a steady steam of indictments plea deals and a parade of witnesses before the Special Council and the Grand Jury.

Whether Trump will be removed from office for participating in such an act of flagrant disloyalty remains to be seen, but many of the people closest to him will, and already have.

Every few weeks, Trumpsters pat themselves on the back and declare confidently that the investigation is over and nothing came of it.

You were making this prediction a year ago. You were wrong. You and Trump made it six months ago. You were wrong.

There is no reason to believe that the Mueller probe is over now. But you've declared it over for at least the third time now.

Your predictions this time are almost certainly no more creidible than your previous ones have been.

No, prosecutors usually don't get to the kingpins and the targets until they've gone through everyone else first.

Jerome Corsi is talking plea deal over Stone. It's hard to tell whether he has anything to offer, or if it's just a play for publicity by a marginal crackpot looking for a bit of extra publicity.

OK, then you assert that Stone will be able to confirm that "the Russians hacked the election for Trump"...right? Good. Maybe now, after this seemingly-interminable 'snipe-hunt' has dragged out for A YEAR AND A HALF, we're getting close to the big radical Democrat orgasm?! And it's actually going to be something that involves Donald Trump HIMSELF... right?

Somebody open up a couple of crates of Kleenex boxes before 'the big moment'....

Why are you lying about predictions I never made?

I don't give a rat's ass about people other than Trump. Was there any illegal activity by Trump? What was it? Tell me know or shut up.

What flagrant disloyalty are you referring to?

Stone is one of the original dirty tricksters under Nixon. He probably has more dirt on Trump than the Russians.

I am absolutely sure that he could confirm it, since he has first hand knowledge.

We already know that the Russians tried to hack the election for Trump. That is not in dispute. We don't need Roger Stone for that.

The Russian disinfirmation campaign is well documented, and even Putin himself told you what the objective was.

Stone can corroborate whether the Trump campaign conspired with Russian intelligence operatives to aid their disinformation and comprimat campaign.

There is plenty of evidence that they did.

We know that Stone was talking to Assange. We know that the Trump campaign was aware that the Russians were the sources for the DNC leaks and the Podesta e-mail, BEFORE Stone talked to Assange over the timing of their use.

We know from the history of the campaign, that these leaks were timed for maximum impact.

We know that the Russians approached the top of the Trump campaign with an offer of collusion, which the Trump campaign enthusiastically accepted.

Stone can tell us ,more about that meeting (I doubt we know the whole facts), and whether and when additional meetings took place.

Roger Stone can also corroborate the long history of Trump association with Russian gangsters, operatives and spies that go well back long before he was ever interested in politics.

Stone, in short, can document the degree to which the Russians own Trump.

I think that right wing media is telling all the Trumpsters that the Mueller probe is over and it found nothing.

    Neither is true.

But this is at least the third time in the last 12 to 15 months that right wing media has adopted this message as a meme. And at least the third time that all the little Trumpsters on this forum have parroted it.

Jerome Corsi? Another pathological liar and a truly detestable individual, while I'd like to see his ass in prison I won't believe a word he has to say about "a plea deal" with Mueller. When Mueller's team comes out with the indictment and plea deal details I'll believe it then. In the meantime, according to conservative site Newsmax, this dirtbag is fundraising (stealing, as far as I'm concerned) for his 'legal defense', setting up not one but two defense funds his sheeple can donate to, LOL........

If he has anything on Roger Stone - this would be a really nice bonus....;)

Well yeah. Nothing to do with Russia. All Mueller seems to have is an ability to set up perjury traps

I can only say what I've said before... if it is proven that Donald Trump broke the law, then I support his impeachment, removal from office, and whatever else the law prescribes. At this point, everything is conjecture. Let the evidence flow, and then "let the good times roll"....

"Proven how"...? I must have gotten lost in a damned nut house. I guess that whatever Trump is charged with would be PROVEN with, PROOF. There are courts, there are judges, there are lawyers, there are plaintiffs, and there are witnesses, and, there would be PROOF, or, all of this is bullshit. Am I being too logical...?

What is it that I'm failing to comprehend about all these as-yet unsubstantiated allegations of crime against Donald Trump? If there's a "there" there, then let's get it out HERE where we all can see it!

What did he lie about ? You seem very confident you know it wasn’t a real lie, so please tell us what the lie was ?
