From my perspective the issue is that there was no issue until somebody created an issue out of the blue.

Why would I support a brand of syrup then obviously admitted that they were racist, I cant buy racist corn syrup, that would be wrong. So I'll buy something else that doesn't have racist past.

That's the problem. Some people (NOT ALL) think there is no issue.

I am with you. I heard this morning that the witch in the House of representatives took down the pictures of four house speakers that she determined to be one time involved with slavery. Comically enough, they were all four democrats. Does this mean the entire democrat party needs to be defunded and disbanded?
I wonder if Ms. Pelosi also burned all the pictures of her father the once mayor of Baltimore who dedicated monuments of General Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee to the city of Baltimore.

Well, pencil me in as someone that thought way back in 2019 that aunt jemima represented a tried and true well known brand. I cant envision myself jumping on the Uncle charley bandwagon or whatever the new name is, I have a short attention span so ill remember there was some negative controversy but I'm certain to forget why, I'll only think negatively about it and buy a brand that doesnt have negative connotations, play it safe.

That's your choice and probably the easiest option. Believing that a problem doesn't exist doesn't make it non-existent.

    Edit: Fixed typo.

What? The logo is offensive, yes? Replace it with a white woman, nobody will be offended.

    Whats the issue with that?

Or will you complain about that, too?

When you said "that is not the issue", I assumed you had an issue.

    Am I wrong?

I also am confused as to why we can't just replace the logo with a white woman to appease the mob.

Yes and no. My experiences have lead to my witnessing all kinds of unspeakable actions toward someone considered a "minority" in America. I think anybody would shudder to know the grim details of what some people face every day of their lives.

The issue isn't that there are minorities (black, Native American, etc.) on the labels. The problem is the connotation. The labels, as originally, designed were based on social stereotypes of those ethnic groups and that's what is "offensive".

Changing the label will have the opposite effect because people will associate the brand with the new label and still feel like it should be printed at the original one. That's what brand marketing is...a snippet of a person, time or place that most people will associate with whatever current stereotypes exist at the moment.

So... racist if you don't change it, racist if you do...

You said yourself the connotation is the problem. So, get rid of it. Replace the logo with a white woman and dress her up in whatever the **** you want and nobody should have an issue.

The black community ends racism because they got the logo removed. The white community doesn't give a **** either way.

    Problem solved.

But again, I know the real reason why, and you do, too. If this logo was changed to a white woman a year ago, there would have been an uproar over how racist it was to remove a prominent black woman. You know its true, and I know its true.

You can't win, so we shouldn't even try.

Rather like the Democrat Party. A name change will not alter its history of institutional systemic racism. Time to find an alternative.

Condemning the racist CSA, the Old South, and the DP can be justified. Condemning the image of a black American woman who, against all odds survived and achieved success is just more divisive election cycle DP virtue signaling.

"In 1890, a former slave named Nancy Green was hired to be the spokesperson for Aunt Jemima brand food products.

Nancy Green was born into slavery in 1834 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. In 1889 the creators of Aunt Jemima, Charles Rutt and Charles Underwood, sold the company to R.T Davis... The previous owners had already agreed upon her ‘look’ of a bandana and apron. Davis combined the Aunt Jemima look with a catchy tune from the Vaudeville circuit to make the Aunt Jemima brand.

Green’s identity was first uncovered at the Worlds’ Columbian Exposition in 1893. There were so many people interested in the Aunt Jemima exhibit, police were called for crowd control. Green served pancakes to thousands of people. People loved her warm personality and friendly demeanor, not to mention her cooking. Green was given an award for showmanship at the exposition."

Oh yes they can. But you must be able to think critically first.
