This was began over on another forum but the response was so positive that I felt it should be shared here considering the seriousness of the situation.

    Australia: A long term solution

    Isaiah 35

Combined with the alternative solution to climate change proposed by New Mexico biologist Carl Cantrell.

Israel already has the necessary technology......

    Megascale Desalination
The world’s largest and cheapest reverse-osmosis desalination plant is up and running in Israel.

Australians seem to be in a situation where they can inspire the world to look at stabilization of the climate in a more practical manner which can fit nicely with the warning given back in 2014 by CIA economist Jim Rickards that there were then seven hundred and ten trillion dollars in the worldwide Derivatives markets and he frankly admitted that he feared a one hundred trillion dollar meltdown in those markets that could spread like a virus and set in motion another 1929, a Bear Market?

    FORGET IRAN, IRAQ, UKRAINE
    THIS IS WHERE WWIII STARTS...

I live about a hundred miles from the Bay of Fundy and the Australians are in a position to play the role of the hero for the town of Truro (as well as for Anchorage Alaska that is facing a nearly identical situation, the residents of Truro, Moncton and Anchorage are perfectly set up to play the role of "Damsel in Distress)."

"If average ocean levels rose by eight to ten cms (3 or 4 inches) could high tide...
... rise by one meter in the Isthmus of Chignecto in Nova Scotia, Canada?

This question is logical because the geography of Canada's Bay of Fundy produces the world's highest tides. In my part of Nova Scotia in Guysborough County there is very little funnelling of tidal waters......... so high tide is only about one to one point five meters above low tide.

In the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy high tide levels are up by ten to fifteen meters."

Mega-scale desalination of ocean water in Australia, California, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia or in any other nation experiencing shortages of fresh water is really good news for the residents of the town of Truro, N. S., Canada, the City of Monton, New Brunswick, Canada as well as for Anchorage Alaska. Every cubic meter of ocean water desalinated and added to the water table of a nation experiencing water shortage is arguably the lowest cost long term solution to the threat posed by rising ocean levels that will likely be felt first along the Bay of Fundy as well as Anchorage, Alaska.

    Mate,
there is no immediate gain from desalt, so our government won't consider it.
On the contrary, it costs money to start with. Forget it...
Coal and ore, that is all what matters, digging holes is in our DNA.
I don't know whether we will become world leaders on any important issue, but certainly not through saving the planet.

    Speaking of money....
Australians and Canadians really cannot afford to allow the USA petro-dollar to go all peso on us so......
we all need to take a look at the mess made by then Canadian Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau back in 1974 because
it tells us a lot about the real situation both in Australia as well as in America.

HOW PIERRE TRUDEAU TURNED US INTO DEBT SLAVES

Now I could be wrong about this but it is interesting to me that this happened one year after Roe vs Wade....and we know how the students of Robert Thomas Malthus think don't we?

Can we learn about the Washington Swamp from the Ottawa Swamp?

Here are the statistics for deaths among African Americans since 1973:
I believe that this was set up.......
and something happened here in Canada back in 1974 that made this trend possible in the USA.

Here is one of the major reasons why Canadian women feel pressured into having an abortion. They feel that our economic situation leaves them with really no choice other than to take the risk of living in relative poverty along with their child. This situation has been forced on them and we need to be more well informed about this.

After P. M. Pierre E. Trudeau's colossal error here is how the national debt of
    Canada spiralled out of control:

My guess is that he was pressured into doing this so that the same thing could be
    arranged in the USA:

Many wealthy people believe that the only way to keep the lower class working
hard is to keep them head over heels in debt and kind of hungry. Lower class people choosing to have an abortion is a positive thing in the minds of a lot of people who consider themselves to be the ELITE!

Roughly a year ago I described myself as fifty one to seventy four percent NOPE but I've changed my mind after doing more reading on the proposed gold mine for Cochrane Hill. The number that caused me to switch over at this time to fifty one to seventy four percent YEP is that only fifty cubic meters of extra fresh water will be needed by the project daily during the summer months. It seems obvious to me that twenty five cubic meters of fresh water could be trucked from where the St. Mary's River becomes tidal water but is still fresh water and another twenty five cubic meters of fresh water could be trucked from where the Liscombe River meets the ocean near Liscombe Lodge?

But... .I would love to see Israeli investors seek to purchase controlling interest from the Australian company that purchased the project for seven hundred and twenty million dollars. China has been gobbling up the world's gold reserves over this last decade and there are many reasons why the one little nation of Israel with merely eight million citizens should seriously consider going over to some variation of a gold and silver standard for her citizens.

The nation of Israel seems to my thinking to have developed the technology that can break the world out of the silly Carbon Tax scheme that at this time is threatening to cause Albertans to separate from Canada. This technology also has the potential to be extremely useful in preparing the nation of Australia for the summer months because something needs to be done that actually could work to make it easier for Australia to fight brushfires.

In my opinion the world needs to break away from the silly Carbon Tax idea and go over to the Carl Cantrell alternative theory on stabilization of the climate.

Global Warming II by Carl Cantrell
    "Australia: A long term solution"

For the record I was still mostly NOPE at the time that I began this discussion about this project:

I know that you Australians are going to really appreciate the follow up article by Carl Cantrell partly because it is hilarious!

I've just nominated my online buddy Mr. Carl Cantrell for the position of USA Ambassador to the U.N.

Don't laugh..... it could happen.... Carl is hilarious!!!

... and ... we Canadians know how to take his basic concept and set in motion a series of events that could cause an economic boom in much of the Middle East......... that.... could be used to decrease tensions there as well......

Does anybody here live near where The Chris (Thor) Hemsworth lives?

Is there anybody in his family who might just have a good sense of humour and be willing to attempt to lure him out of A-List Hollywood productions into a B-list comedy?????

    "Regarding New Orleans????????"

And if this bloody holes were not left such toxic messes by the companies defaulting on clean-up we could use them for water storage

    upload_2020-2-29_13-26-26.jpeg

This is Mary Kathleen once a uranium mine and now a pretty pretty blue in summer. ........

What we could do with a mine like the main mount Isa mine - 5 kilometres deep and if we diverted floodwaters down there it would slowly accumulate to be the best water resource anywhere. It would irrigate north west QLD AND the NT

But I doubt it would be able to be cleaned up enough to use

Mulholland did it for southern California and he didn't have solar options.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Mulholland

Great Inland Lakes would profit Australia via promoting a more productive
    land and positive climate change.

Australia's problem is a failure to believe in themselves.
Believe they can have an Australia First directive on all policies.
Ref.: Natural Gas prices of Aussie Natural Gas for Japanese vs Aussies.

Australia is set up to be a leading exporter of
Wind, Solar and Battery power systems
    but, opts for Globalist crumbs.

This isn't that unusual. The country of Norway does the same thing.

Demands that their own people use green energy and pay high prices their country's own gas, meanwhile trying to export as much gas as possible to other countries to make a profit and bring in money.

The Guardian had an article: Australian gas 40% cheaper in Japan than in Australia despite export costs.

It seems very inconsistent and hypocritical, at the very least.

I know I may be getting off-topic, but it reminds me a little of what China does, make their own people suffer in the name of trying to help create a positive trade balance.

Or maybe it's just a feel-good measure by Australian politicians so they can make the citizens feel like they're doing something, through forced self-sacrifice, even though Australia is going out of its way to export as much gas as possible to other countries.
Double standards, as long as its going on in some foreign country.

Again, off-topic, but this reminds me of what the US was doing for many years. Imposing stringent environmental regulations on their own factories, but insisting there be no barriers on buying things from foreign factories. So ironically more environmental regulations just pushed things to be produced in places with absolutely terrible environmental practices. But apparently it made some stupid Americans feel good.

    @kazenatsu

POINT: Australia just needs to "believe in itself"
and not feel woeful over losing trade from where ever.

    YES AUSTRALIA CAN!
Adopt a Nationalist economy & programs

    Farm the parched lands, etc.
Such land use to be the San Fernando Valley.
Mulholland delivered the water. Over mountains! Link above.

Australia could be a paradise if they can get a handle on their government and keep foreigners from taking over. They have the resources and are nowhere near being overcrowded.

    @Sallyally
    @Bowerbird
    @crank
    and @DennisTate :flagcanada: too :blowkiss:

    Ain't that the truth.

But, "their" Parliamentary system of electing a Prime Minister
requires a majority of "in :flagus: - - Beltway Culture".
Not a free Presidency ala Separation of Powers :flagus: :salute:
who can accept University Presidents, Senators, Billionaires, Governors, etc.
to compete for the popular vote for the responsibilities of Chief Executive.

And "they" don't get it because it is okay to them to
face a fine for not voting.

    UnFree !

Maybe it is a difference between fighting for independence
and being "granted" it in a nation's consciousness and concept of

FREEDOM, Not FREE and the UnFree.

Australia has embraced neoliberalism and globalism.

And the immigration situation in Australia is pretty comparable to how it was in the US before the 2009 recession, where even the conservative leaders want a flow of immigration into the country. (provides cheap labor to businesses, helps keep property prices increasing every year so financial institutions can earn more money and can put off having to face a property crash and loan defaults for another year, helps the size of the country's economy to "grow", which is sort of a pyramid scheme for making it easier for the government to pay off old debts and care for the aging demographic segment of society, without having to raise tax rates)

Of course naturally this puts a downward suppression on wage levels (especially lower skill wages) and increases housing prices in all the city areas, since more people compete for the limited available housing. And will bring costs and problems in the long-term. (But these are often more hidden costs)
No surprise Australians have seen an increasing level of inequality.

Residents of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are facing a rather simple mathematical problem that forces us to take a rather dim view of a Carbon Tax.

Every cubic meter of ocean water that is desalinated and added to the water table of Israel, California, Algeria, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Nevada, South Africa, India or any other nation with lots of desert is really good news for the owners of the real estate along the Bay of Fundy and of Anchorage Alaska that have the second most extreme tides in the world for very similar reasons.
High tide waters are funnelled by the Bay of Fundy into a more and more narrow area and on top of that......... the Bay of Fundy is over one hundred and seventy miles long so high tide water cannot fully drain back into the ocean before the next high tide waters pile on top of them.

"In my opinion the nation of Australia is set up by her geography to play the role of a rescuer of a metaphorical damsel in distress.... the owners of the real estate along the Bay of Fundy, near Anchorage Alaska that is in a similar situation, not to mention New Orleans, New York, Miami, Bangladesh, The Netherlands and on and on and on the list goes!"

.... "an online buddy of mine from Australia explained to me about an area on your continent that is below sea level........ that has been considered to be turned into an inland marina by allowing ocean water to flow to it through a canal of some type. Of course..... .this is highly relevant to everybody living in New Orleans..... or who owns land along the Bay of Fundy......... or....... to people in Bangladesh or The Netherlands.... etc., etc."

Will an ECONOMIC BOOM in nations with lots of deserts inspire a huge percentage of former refugees to return to their homelands????
Can Muslims, Christians and Jews all unite around the fulfillment of an ancient Islamic prediction for the Last Hour?

    Book 005, Number 2208:
"Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him and till the land of Arabia becomes meadows and rivers."
SAHIH MUSLIM, BOOK 25: The Book on General Behaviour (Kitab Al-Adab)

Seven hundred and ten TRILLION is a good motivator to seriously consider a major shift like this! That number is given for the worldwide Derivatives Markets after the fifteen minute mark in this video by CIA economist Mr. Jim Rickards.
