Not true. Also, the eco freaks have pushed back against controlled burning like the aborigines did all the time. It is convenient to forget all the other fires Australia has had to blame this one on climate change.

    Wow!
Talk about getting the facts screwed up!

183 were “bushfire related offences” which could have been anything from arguing with the cops about not getting your arse out of the way fast enough to the low life scum who pinched the water from the fire station

Ignore the fact that we are having record heat waves, drought conditions and all around shitty weather thanks to climate change and blame it on anything else

They're not talking about manner of ignition (FTR, most of them have been attributed to 'lightening strike', which is just as bogus).

WTF has this got to do with the weather conditions that left that area parched. What do you think that progressives think that trees will light on fire by themselves?

 ~ Russell Crowe announced the fires in Australia are definitely the result of "climate change" . Crowe shared videos from Australia and said his property had been “absolutely f***ing smashed” from the bushfires !
When the intellectual genius of Hollywood speaks - does anyone listen ?

    ▶ And now this ... :omfg: ´
New South Wales police said that since the beginning of November, 24 people have been charged over allegedly deliberately lighting fires as officers continue to investigate the role that arson has played in the devastation.

What did you blame the 38/39 heat and fires on before SUV's? Original records show it was hotter in the 30's but the records have been so manipulated that now it wasn't.

“One area of misinformation has been the hashtag #ArsonEmergency on Twitter.

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) researcher Dr Timothy Graham analysed 315 accounts posting #ArsonEmergency and said a third of them displayed highly automated and inauthentic behaviour.

In layman's terms, that means they're likely to be bots.

Tweets downplaying climate change were shared tens of thousands of times.
He said the topic appeared to be attracting a "suspiciously high number of bot-like and troll-like accounts".

The ABC found many of the suspicious accounts were amplifying unproven suggestions arson had been the overwhelming cause of Australia's disastrous bushfire season.

Some of the tweets took police figures out of context and claimed almost 200 arsonists had been arrested in NSW.

The actual number of people charged with deliberately lighting a fire is 24 — even fewer managed to spark large blazes.

An article posted by an American far-right figure went one step further, claiming left-wing ecoterrorists were responsible for lighting the blazes.

good old zero hedge at it again.

You seem to have completely misinterpreted this article. Why do you think that the fires were started by "climate nutters?"

So there was an Aussie that cleared their land and were taken to court and got fined. It's illegal to clear your land in Australia. Of course a fire went through and burned everyone's property but theirs.

Aussies should take a cue from the aborigines that knew better.

So are you saying it was not climate change but instead was ecoterrorism? And the problem was exacerbated by bad land management?.... If so it is lower than low.

Nope not arguing with Police or pinching water.

Fact is 87% of Australian bush fires are either deliberately or accidentally lit.
