If deaths were consistent, Australia would have approximately 400% more, or the US 75% less. The Aussies made the US look like idiotic *******. End of story.

Those who didn't die in the name of FREEDUMB might be inclined to disagree.

I think just a little more foot stomping will push this thing over the top and get everybody stuck and Covid will disappear from the face of the earth forever. Happily ever after we'll live.

Anyway on the plus side the latest news and stats indicate that Australia's Omicron curve may already have peaked (fingers crossed). If this turns out to be true its happening way earlier and at lower peak numbers than even the 'best case' scenario initially put forward by our epidemiologists for Omicron.

So once more all the measures that apparently 'don't work' according to some posters on PF when it comes to disease prevention i.e. the mandatory masking, lock downs, self quarantining and of course high levels of vaccination etc all seem to 'magically' work quite well when applied in Australia. Strange that.

Evidence based science? Only to those who can't grasp or simply fear the concept.

The world owes such a debt to those who can follow the science and understand the dangers of Darwin.

Which puts us back in 'Reagan was a Democrat' territory.

I can find you some really cool quotes from Hitler about how Christian his movement was and Stalin studied to be a priest. One can only therefore conclude that Stalin & Hitler were both Christians, and that the evil they wrought is the work of Christianity. Right? Lenin was from a landowning middle class family, so he can't be left wing. etc. etc.

Historians understand context, ideologues wrench facts from their context because they know it is the only way they can chain them to their misleading arguments. Fascist parties all over Europe allied themselves wiht the political right. Not once or twice, but repeatedly. Either you know this and are just pushing things you know to be misleading, or you are so ill informed that you just ignore basic facts that don't fit your beliefs.

BTW, I will bet I have not only read more about Fascism than you, but that I have read higher quality work on Fascism than you. Work by historians who dedicate themselves to understanding Fascism based on the evidence, rather than work by ideologues who want to make Fascism into whatever suits their political & propaganda needs.

You have made claims that are blatantly false and ignored vital, definative facts that don't fit your narrative. It is clear which category you are in.

The Aussies followed the science and have a per capita COVID death rate 1/20 that of 'Murica. Funny how that works.

    Again, you have been disinformed.
Hitler's hostility to Christianity is well documented.

Hitler, Stalin, and even Khomeini were capable of sucking up to Christianity when it served their purposes, but we are fortunate enough to have a record of Hitler’s candid private thoughts on the Christianity and religion recorded by his secretary during his private dinners with his inner circle which were later published in “Hitler's Table Talk” (Adolf Hitler, London, Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1953).

    Here a few examples:

    "Night of 11th-12th July, 1941
"National Socialism and religion cannot exist together....

"The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of
Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.... "Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things." Hitler's Table Talk” (Adolf Hitler, London, Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1953).(p 6 & 7).

    "10th October, 1941, midday:
"Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure." “Hitler's Table Talk” (Adolf Hitler, London, Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1953). p 43.

    "14th October, 1941, midday:
"The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death....
When understanding of the universe has become widespread...
Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity....
"Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse.... "...the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little.... "Christianity <is> the liar.... "We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State." “Hitler's Table Talk” (Adolf Hitler, London, Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1953. (p 49-52)

    "19th October, 1941, night:
"The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity."
    “Hitler's Table Talk” (Adolf Hitler, London, Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1953. (p 49-52)

So we disagree. When we enabled lock downs, the infection rate did not change, regardless of local practices. When they were ended the infection rate did not change, regardless of local practices. Infection rates were related to population density not to any government interference or lack thereof with the private sector. We also have data that explains that the cloth and paper masks the public wears are not at all effective. Perhaps it makes people feel like they are doing something. They really aren't. If you can't see the hysteria behind the response to covid, you aren't paying attention.

    What lockdowns?
At the height of the supposed lockdowns you had half a million people attending a bike rally, tens of thousands attending Trump rallies and mass demonstrations over the murder of a black man all over the country.
Australia demonstrated how to lockdown properly and the effectiveness is demonstrated by their much lower death rate.
    USA deaths per million 2,716
    Australia deaths per million 145

I think there are other reasons for the low infection rate, sorry.
