So the campus thugs at UC Berkeley have successfully suppressed Ann Coulter from delivering her speech by using threats of violence.

You smelly idiots have lost the right to EVER complain about censorship or any other "rights" that you think you've lost.

 

There should be a new set of riots cranking up any minute, if not already. Will be interesting to see this unfold.

 

These people have no concept of liberty. The frightening thing is they are probably our future leaders.

Actually, nearly all the violence has been coming from the left. Every riot has been organized by the Left. Are you arguing with reality?

 

It seems Sci Fi strange. We don't have university police in this country, yet many of our universities are as big as yours. We don't need them. If something does go wrong (and it rarely does, obviously), the regular police are called.

 

Berkeley is the azzhole of the far left Body Politic.

No far right speaker has any business there.

 

Berkeley is a perfect example of the horseshoe effect, and as such, those right wing speakers and the people who support them are helping put berkeley back on the track of free speech, which is what it is known for.

The only problem is that those free speech advocates started to believe that only their speech should be protected.

 

Many public universities are actually set up as separate municipalities in the U.S.. As such they have their own police, post office, etc., just like any other city. The officers are trained specifically to handle typical campus crimes - public underage drunkenness, gang rape, bicycle theft, and now apparently rioting by dirty hippies, most of whom don't even go to the school.

 

Indeed. "Free speech that I agree with" =/= "Free speech."
