This is probably bad news for Bernie.

why is that? Bernie and his top executives were neutral during the organizing drive.

I think the more people who unionize under the banner of a union, the better off they'll be. Executives have contracts with their corporations; if they need a contract, then why don't the workers need a contract?

I hope the dems run Bernie in the election. The debates with Trump would be so entertaining.

They should immediately strike and demand a pay raise to double their value to the campaign, full health benefits, and a pension plan.

Why strike if they can get what they want? Bernie is union friendly.

He's going to have to spend lots of money on those ungrateful people.

    A very interesting development.

So, if Bernie doesn't meet their demands, or his fund raising from the little people doesn't reach the proper target levels to meet pay and benefits demands, will his staff go on strike? What if some of his staff has to be laid off, with the rest walk out in solidarity?

    This could be really juicy!

Collective bargaining means give and take from both sides. I suspect they'll hammer out a contract rather quickly. Why do you feel the workers are ungrateful?

Who are the "little" people? Normally the goal of the union is not to strike because both sides lose in a strike; therefore it's in the best interests of both parties to form a working partnership so each side can achieve their stated goals. Most rational people understand that layoffs are a part of the business and do happen from time to time. As long as the company (aka as Bernie) abides by the labor agreement, there won't be any walkout on the part of the workers. I hope more workers on the other campaigns, both democrat and republican vote to organize since it'll send a message that the political parties believe that workers should have rights in the workplace.

Who are the little people? That would be the "socialists" and the so called "ignored" that Bernie appeals to.

Obviously you are pro-union, and I'm not opposed to private sector Unions. Public Sector Unions? Couldn't be more opposed.

You paint a glowing picture of what might happen with Bernie, Inc., but I simply raised reasonable and relevant questions that relate to Union actions that have occurred in the past. You're trying to predict the future.

Based on Bernie's past record of standing up for people's rights, its easy to predict the future. You have a right to raise reasonable and relevant questions that relate to Union actions that have occurred in the past but I also have a right to disagree with your viewpoint as well.

It doesn't matter. The DNC has the only say on who the candidate will be.

They are ungrateful because they got a job and a paycheck and that wasn't enough for them.

How do you know the issue was about money? it could be about benefits, night shift differential, Holiday pay or perhaps a mechanism to address issues that come up in the workplace. Unless you are part of the bargaining unit you cannot truly say what the issues are. What's wrong with having rights in the workplace?

Maybe they won't. Would you be disappointed if they didn't go on strike?

Unions wreck places. The baker's union almost shutdown Hostess forever with their strike. Until Hostess was reincorporated into a new, better business with regular non-union workers.

Okay so you make one claim of a union "wrecking" a company; without realizing that there are thousands of companies out there that are unionized and for some reason are still in business; based on your supposition, all companies should have gone out of business due to unions.

Btw, Hostess went out of business due to incompetence by it's executives; of course many non-informed people tend to blame the unions, taking managements words like they are scripture from the bible.

Between one who struggles to put two coherent sentences together and Bernie, Nice thought but it’s too cruel to contemplate.
