Once again as pointed out up thread, the U.S. Navy has had HUNDREDS of ships with operational nuclear reactors aboard docked at U.S. ports with virtually no one bitching about it.

The Russians do many things (especially with nuclear) that no one else would do.

Just because the Russians don't pay enough attention to safety does not invalidate the concept. Just as Chernobyl in no way cast aspersions on western built nuclear power plants.

The concept is invalidated by its very existence.

Russia is not my model of good engineering practices nor is it with Putin at its head, a model of self control and world consideration. He’s a nationalist, like trump cares only to advance his personal wealth....like Trump. .

What does that have to do with anything? I'm sure hundreds of thousands of public school teachers in the U.S. voted for President Trump (though I didn't even bother doing that much).

Very few that teach science. The ones who voted for a trump, and it’s a minority, tend to be non science people. You can’t be a serious math science teacher and vote for someone who says science is a hoax.
The farther up the education ladder, the more liberal. Look up the non political definition of liberal. Conservative beliefs are anti scientific. Everything from the economy, to science to the arts to mathmatics.,.....

That's your opinion of course. You have not presented any facts to base it on. And there is more to science than believing in humans causing climate change.

    Ha ha

    https://weather.com/science/environment/video/climate-change-and-the-migrant-caravan/

At this moment in time, very little is more important. Weather related deaths run into the 100s of thousands. The migration of of Central American, Syrian and Yemen crisis is all weather related, not only according to the UN but our own intel. You can’t name one world problem that is not science related. On that, my opinion is absolutely correct. Any one in who runs for office that disagrees with the importance of good science, should be disqualified as should your opinions as you pretend to down play science based upon your view on the elementary grade level.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/oct/6/liberal-professors-outnumber-conservatives-12-1/

YYou don’t seem to get it.....the higher the level of education, the more liberal the environment...you can’t be blind and still be in education at any level. You’re thinking like a dinosaur...planning on extinction by putting your head in the sand.

Facts, you call for facts when your entire thread is opinionated ? Too funny.
