WASHINGTON — Beto O'Rourke defended his meager rate of charitable giving on Tuesday night, saying that he doesn't report all of his donations to the IRS and in any case, he contributes in other ways through his work in politics.

"I've served in public office since 2005. I do my best to contribute to the success of my community, my state and now, of my country. There are ways that I do this that are measurable. And there are ways that I do this that are immeasurable," he said.

    ==================================================================

Beto thinks charity begins with him. That little cheap narcissist is the Democrat's hope and future? With people like him, we will need big government as he doesn't help others.

Beto is the same guy that scolds his crowds, that he could be home playing with his kids. Instead, he’s donating his time to seize the mantle of the most powerful person in the Free World.

    Seriously? WTF?

Great figures don't need charity, they give it.

This hypocrisy is not surprising. Show me your wallet and we will truly see where your heart is.

I think so, they are discarding the fake Latino and going with the gay guy.

Robert Francis O'Rourke has as much Latino in him as Liz Warren has Native American. The good news is, she is entitle to pretend reparations that he will never pay, or consider donating to as that's not how he rolls.

I think all you have to ever do to make folks understand who Beta is is to show them the video of him in a onesy playing and singin in his faux punk rock period. I think that is his Willie moment, and folks who see it will never take him seriously. I mean, it isn't like he knows, or understands policy, or serious stuff. So all he really has is the "would you have a beer with this guy" quotient. After that video, not so much..

It seems to me that Democrats are really floundering at the high end game. They still haven't gotten over the fact Hillary lost. They appear to have no standards at all as to who they'll back for president. All it appears to take is saying some bad things about Trump and the left elevates them, like that Sleazy Porn lawyer. I don't understand what it is that 99% of the liberal hopefuls have done to deserve any backing. If the Running Man couldn't beat Ted Cruz, how is he supposed to beat Trump on the national stage? Herbalife's Kamala Harris gained popularity because she asked 'tough questions', that's it, no actual accomplishments, just asked a few questions. I don't see how Trump won't be re-elected at this rate...

Hey... do you have anything on the actual thread topic? That would be so cool.

You clearly no very little about Trump and charity. He prefers his to be quiet, but the guy does a lot.

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-flies-sick-boy/

Now... start your own thread and I will come in and pour a list of Trump charitable acts. In this thread you can share with me what Robert Francis O'Rourke does for others. Ready.... go! Tell us! Thanks in advance!

TDS This thread is about Beto.

    Beto told the group:

“I’ve served in public office since 2005. I do my best to contribute to the success of my community, my state and, now, of my country,” O’Rourke explained. “There are ways that I do this that are measurable and there are ways I do this that immeasurable. There are charities that we donate to that are we’ve recorded and itemized, others that we have donated to that we have not.”

“But I will tell you, I’m doing everything I can right now, spending this time with you — not with our kiddos, not back home in El Paso — because I want to sacrifice everything to make sure that we meet this moment of truth with everything we’ve got,” he added.

So his charitable contribution is spending time with them and not his "kiddos"? Really? What a joke he is!

You only have any idea about his charitable work because he released his taxes. And since you don’t care about a candidate taxes, you’re not allowed an opinion.

The following were reported to the Foundation Center during the year 2006:[4]

The following grants were reported to the Foundation Center during the year 2007:[5]

The Palm Beach Post has listed some additional recipients, as "a few of the larger donations made by the foundation through the years":[6]

According to a review by the International Business Times, the Trump Foundation did not give to right-wing causes until 2010, when donations to conservative organizations were first reported.[7] Among these organizations, the Foundation gave:[7]

In 2010, the Trump Foundation made a $10,000 contribution to Jenny McCarthy's Generation Rescue, an organization that promotes vaccine scientific research.[7]

    Troll post is debunked.

    Just one tiny example.

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-flies-sick-boy/

That one single act eclipses Beto's charity by 2,000%+
