A statement of blatant, or willful, ignorance.

Whoa, the sign says nothing about that. What I own is my business, and there are laws in place about killing people.
Can anyone buy a car or knife or pointy stick? Cuz outlawing those is about as likely as what you’re suggesting.
Maybe instead of punishing the law abiding, punish the criminal element?

Note my underlined: you need a license to drive a car.

"In the US, rifles or shotguns may be purchased by anyone over the age of 18, and handguns by anyone over the age of 21, provided they meet the following federal regulations: The buyer must be a current citizen of the United States or a permanent resident (green card holder)."

    Note my underlined.

OK , you're the expert. Please itemize the federal regulations which must be met, for gun ownership.

Ok. But you don’t need a license to own one. Either way, why not address the actual problem- the criminal?

On public roads, because you do not have the right to drive on public roads.
Do you think this makes some sort of point?

And so, not "anyone", as you claimed.
    Thank you .

Did you forget to specify the federal regulations for gun ownership?

And why don't you have a 'right' to drive a car on public roads? (Hint: you need a prescribed level of skill and knowledge of the road-rules).

    cf crowded public places, with people carrying all sorts of bags bumping up against one another eg in supermarkets;
why would you have a 'right' to carry loaded guns in such circumstances? ,

Well if the criminal did not have a gun, you wouldn't need one either...and mass slaughters would be less frequent.

Perhaps concentrate more on eradicating poverty and disadvantage, to reduce criminal activity...

    1. if the criminal has a knife or other weapon I still need my gun. my guns have no sign of mass slaughter, and my dong shows no sign of any raping.

    2. If someone is in poverty that’s 100% NOT my problem.

    3. the only federal regulations state the age at which guns may be bought from a retailer.

    4. I have no idea what you’re on about with, “guns in bags”? What does that even mean? Mine is in a holster inside the waistband. The movies aren’t real, they don’t just start blasting off all on their own.

Here’s a crazy idea, just get all the guns from the criminals and then come talk to the rest of us.

No need. You did. You disproved our point. Applause.
    They are state property.
Do you think this makes some sort of point?

    News:
An unarmed criminal can create a clear, present and immediate danger to someone's life and limb - giving you the right to shoot him.
The fact a criminal may not have a gun in no removes the possible need to have one.

Systemic poverty is the worst kind of "human rights abuse".. you know,,, what the West likes to accuse China of.

And now the Mexican border is proving systemic poverty IS your problem.

Thanks for the confirmation of the paragraph I posted.
Only requirement: over 18 years of age.
Enjoy the highest death counts from gun violence, in a first world country, in the world.

Poverty is the problem for the individual, you and I are not here to solve stupid peoples' money issues. I will happily love the US and have no issue with the way the 2A works. Of course, you're not mentioning that half of the gun deaths are suicides. Mass shootings account for .2% of firearm related deaths.

You're more likely to die from a falling piano. But that reality doesn't really have that edgy feel of saving the world, I guess.

And for the US: have you seen the border lately? It won't go away until the source of the poverty is dealt with, namely a dysfunctional economic system. The economy is a fake, a means of channeling resources to the wealthy.

The mexican problems are THEIR problems. They have no business making their shortcomings anyone elses' issue. If you don't like living in a capitalist US I'm sure there are other places, the rest of us here are just fine.

    (Note my underlined).

Er...."You are living in poverty, your neighborhoods are like war zones, your schools and hospitals are broken, your young men are in prison..."

Guess who said that....I think you meant to say: "I'm doing just fine".

It's not up to me to make everyone rich. That's the issue for the individual, and has nothing to do with legal firearm ownership.

Of course it's not up to you; but it IS up to the government to institute an above poverty Job Guarantee... because it can, if you get out of the way.

And then your paranoid desire for gun ownership would have much less basis in reality, as everyone sets about the business of providing for themselves, in the absence of an environment of entrenched poverty demoralizing people who can't prosper in competitive free markets which depend on a level of unemployment to control inflation, the infamous NAIRU (google it) of orthodox economics.

No, there’s nothing about the gov giving away free jobs in the BoR or the Constitution. we’re not gonna be silly socialists, I’d make peace with that.

So... you don't have a meaningful answer.
    Thanks.
