Central American asylum seekers arrive to a bus station after being released by U.S. Border Patrol agents on February 26, 2021 in Brownsville, Texas.

President Joe Biden's administration has secured an $86 million contract for hotels to house migrants, Axios reported Saturday. The contract comes as the president struggles to address the surging numbers of families and kids trying to enter the US.

The contract is with hotels near the border in Arizona and Texas to hold about 1,200 migrants, and will last six months. It was made through Endeavors, a non-profit with programs that include housing services and disaster relief.

Hotels have been used by immigration officials before, including last year, when hundreds of migrants, including children, were held in major hotel chains before being deported under President Donald Trump's pandemic border ban.

As of Saturday, there were 5,000 unaccompanied children being held by US Customs and Border Protection in jail-like facilities, CNN reported. More than 600 children have been detained for longer than 10 days, in violation of the law.

OK, dunno where to start with this non-existent crisis; I guess, I will firstly congratulate Arizona and Texas for doing their part in making sure America is back. Unwittingly, I'm sure :D

Screw the political correctness and good feelings toward fella human beings! We are seeing an invasion of unheard proportions, we're seeing Chinese-virus-infected future Democratic voters being released into the interior US against their word to show up in court, we're seeing Illegal crossers being housed in the country largest sports arena, and now we're seeing Illegal crosses being moved into hotels, for which yours truly is paying. What in G*d name for?

Sure, Trump too held Illegal crossers in the hotels... just before promptly deporting them. Will the current administration promptly deport them? NO.

Again, thank you Arizona and Texas :applause:

Biden is spending $86 million on hotel rooms for migrants as his administration struggles to handle the surge of families and kids trying to come to the US

Why, Joe -- how generous of you! Everybody knows we Americans (who are merely $28,000,000,000,000 in DEBT) have many millions more to lavish on 'migrants'... right?

Under mean, old Donald Twump, they would have been told to stay the hell OUT of the United States until their properly-filed applications were ruled on -- and that would have cost American taxpayers ZERO. But, what the hell... we're RICH... right? :alcoholic:

And we desperately NEED millions more indigent peasants pouring in here from all over the Western Hemisphere... right?

How many of you approve of this kind of thing?!

Biden announced to the world that he wants illegals to invade this country. They heard him and now they're racing to our border. The insane part is Psaki is blaming Trump.

But as long as Biden encourages separating families and people leaving the only country they've ever known, then they're going to keep coming and Biden will welcome them with hotel rooms and voter registration cards, because we know that is ultimately what this is all about.

Very few people approve of this.
Republicans didn’t give us any options though.

Republicans are talking about a 2022 comeback - its not going to happen. By the time midterms come around the body count and the voter laws will be so far beyond anything capable of producing a Republican flip. The illegal invader inundation combined with the impending market crash will likely be America's end. If you're not betting against that downfall - you'll be part of the down fall.

When visiting Munich after the 2015 invasion our hotel was full of burkas. A result of a similar taxpayer funded policy that the overwhelming majority of people don't want. It is almost as if the elites want this in all western countries. Why would they want that?

How can you even say this man? Republicans have been trying to change the laws preventing us from just tossing these kids back over the border for more than a decade now man. Its Democrats obstructing this one, cd8ed, always has been. Every single time Republicans have done anything to stop the illegal inundation the DNC comes out in full force with cries of racism and roadblocks to success. Is it any wonder that the minute Pres Biden was elected the caravans started back up? Is it any wonder that we're going to see more crossing in Q1 of 2021 than we saw in the last 5 whole years? This was exactly what the left wanted and it was foretold with complete accuracy.

What happens when those rooms are full, where do we put them then? Maybe the white house has a few extra thousand rooms?

Immigration isn’t the biggest issue to everyone. I would rather have a functioning government (I would prefer both) and that isn’t what the right was offering.

Nope. I didn’t expect different. I didn’t like voting for him before I did but I will do so again against what the Republicans are running.

Yes, because we need tens (If not hundreds) of thousands of indigent people who have not been tested with unknown medical histories pouring in, sounds like a great idea...

Got a link that Biden wanted illegals to invade the country.
Another made the claim and basically told me to go find my own link to prove his post.

So can you provide a link that Biden announced to the world he wants illegals to invade the country?

(CNN)President Joe Biden discouraged would-be migrants from coming to the United States as his administration scrambles to respond to a surge of unaccompanied migrant children coming into the US.

"I can say quite clearly: Don't come," Biden told ABC in an interview aired on Tuesday.

86 Million dollars going to illegal CRIMINALS and not American Citizens. WhyTF are we not sending these people back to Mexico?

Biden has no plan for the crisis. 3 months in and he still has no plan. After 47 years in Congress he should have been more prepared. 3 months in and he is already FAILING.

Republicans and Dems want the illegals here.
Because the donors to their campaigns know they need the labor.

The problem isn't them coming here to work, it's the policy to gain citizenship that is the issue.

The current issue seems to be more than work related. But life related. As the horrors back home is like putting their life in danger.

Perhaps we should work to improve life in their countries so they don't have to be afraid to live there.

But no one is looking to fix the root of the problem.
Why has this been an issue for 50 yrs? And no solution to the problem?

No one who is honest can blame just 1 party.

    How is this Biden’s problem?

He LITERALLY said not to come here, that the border was closed.

I looked, and oddly enough could not find any threads about this very same thing happening under Trump. Oh, and it was many more at that time, so why was Donald telling them to come here, while telling the American people something different....thats odd ;)

Mayorkas has been DHS chief for only 7 weeks. Biden should have been better prepared for this, but I support the hotel contract. It helps the local economies and it solves this, which concerns me:

As of Saturday, there were 5,000 unaccompanied children being held by US Customs and Border Protection in jail-like facilities, CNN reported. More than 600 children have been detained for longer than 10 days, in violation of the law.

Unaccompanied children are supposed to be moved from the custody of CBP within 72 hours and transferred to a shelters run by the Department of Health and Human Services. The Post reported thousands of children are instead being held by CBP for 107 hours on average, before being transferred.

According to the Associated Press, the numbers of encounters with families and kids at the border are currently lower than they were at different times during the last administration, including spring 2019. But experts have warned that the current surge is still rising and will likely peak in May, based on past surge patterns, CNN reported.

Kids in cages is unacceptable. I'll give Biden a short amount of time to straighten it out, but the crisis I see is being completely unprepared. HHS has to get its act together as well. It needs to be addressed.
