You have a problem with transvestites ?

Where in science does it say a transvestite can’t work ?

Don't forget.. we have a poster , on this very thread, that reminds us marijuana is legal in 32 states. We should have a lot of barely contingent tho't from that crowd.

I really don't have an issue with the pipeline but I don't see the benefit to the US to having it either since it really is about moving Canadian oil, so hard to get too worked up either way.

That’s 35 not 32 states, for medical marijuana. Let’s see, that would make a majority. Leave it to conservatives to be in the minority. I guess that makes me better informed and you less.

From I have read about it in the past, the tar sands oil will mostly be converted to heating oil in a few countries and that Canada is trying to use the money to help pay for the clean up of that naturally occurring toxic wasteland caused by having an open oil reserve sitting on the surface. Anyway, I don't really see much of a cost or benefit to the US whether we have the pipeline or not.

Did you notice ? Conservative posters seem to feel they need an emoji to tell everyone they’re trying to be funny all the time. Like, the post really can’t stand up to scrutiny.

I hear you. The problem is, heating oil in our country is in the same category as diesel and regulated for emissions. I doubt using this filth in other countries it will be. It pollutes the planet more, even beyond the AGW concerns.

IIRC South Korea and maybe a couple South American countries were the only ones that showed any interest in the oil to begin with. Whatever the US got off port fees on those shipments would be the only benefit from having it as pipelines don't need a ton of workers once they are built. They basically need a refinery built just to process that gunk and US companies have no interest in reconfiguring theirs to process it into end product.

That’s interesting to know....my biggest concern was thousands of miles of pipe line with this sludge moving through it and the history of its problems. Even if it’s a relatively small part of a problem, why add to the problem instead of trying to mitigate it.

To the contrary. I’m not a democrat. And it’s hard to keep up with all the self proclaimed geniuses on the right.

The "complaints", if there had been any from the hyperliberal Left, should have been levied against CHINA, but early-on, the libs declared that any criticism of CHINA was (guess what?) "RACISM"! :cynic:

But that's 'water-under-the-bridge'... right? The real howling is going to come up to full amplitude when gasoline hits five bucks a gallon, probably by the end of the year, and then goes even higher after that for the rest of Joe's 'tenure'....

Oh, but good, ol' "Uncle Sugar" will probably come up with yet ANOTHER government handout welfare program to compensate for that... right....? 8)

Hint: at some point, this lavish "Beggars Banquet" we've got going now will be forced to come to a HALT, and then there'll be "wailing and gnashing of teeth"! Ha! And just wait until the 'caravans' of Central America and Mexico come busting across the border!

[IMG]. "Hey, cabron, buy me some gasolina to go pick up more 'asylum seekers'...." :roflol:

It is not "Fallacy" that we will use 20 million barrels of oil - every day of the year - next year.

"We are doing fine with out it" You completely ignored every thing that was said to you - desperate to avoid reality - and the question at hand .. so once more -

Either we get the oil from Canada/Domestic - Pipeline or Import- Tanker.

Which is better for the environment and why ( and you have no clue what the price of oil is about so quit pretending other wise - and making up nonsense hoping that it might be true)

Why is it so hard to admit, one's a Democrat? I mean, it should not be so shameful and there should not be hidden guilt associated with being a Democrat? After all, counting all the habitually unemployed, Illegal Aliens and enlightened ones, you're (plural) in the majority? :couple_inlove:
