Yes, all of what you said is true even after you add the cost of the compressor to pack the line and the inspections.
I was simply adding that there are concerns outside of CO2 emissions. They can be mitigated and should be negotiated.

Biden is not mitigating or negotiating.

And the consequences are that Biden cannot be criticized and those that do must be reprogrammed and reeducation camps.

Lack of rebuttal noted to the point by point critique of his executives actions yesterday, I will take that as you can't.

You are absolutely allowed to whine. Its probably better if you get over it. Biden won, Trump lost. Biden gets to set the agenda because the voters picked him over the guy with the other agenda. That includes reversing the direction of Trump's executive orders, just as he said he would in his winning campaign. Joe is keeping his campaign promises and really MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Really? When I checked with our local dispensary, all it was required was for someone to drive a hundred miles, two hundred miles round trip, and pick up the vaccine. Total cost about a hundred bucks for a few thousand shots. No one thought to do it. They thought it would be delivered to them. Monumental screw up at the state level. Some states like Texas and West Virginia are doing very well.

That is common because it depends on whether they are counting only direct jobs such as those who work on the pipeline or or direct jobs and ancillary jobs providing support to the pipe line.

It is being done by people working at the clinic. A three man team. No extra cost

You mean they couldn't increase the requirements for maintaining a pipeline? And really what is required of a new pipeline with new metal pipes to maintain?

The direct employees are easy to count. The ancillary are just as necessary, but really depends on how far out you want to count. For example, they might be providing food service, but there are also people supporting them providing groceries and transportation of the groceries. All jobs that will not exist without the pipe line.

They are company projected numbers. Which are usually pie in the sky numbers.

Like I said, it depends on how far out they go from the construction. They are all real jobs which will be lost and whether they are 8000 or twice that number, they are still real jobs that will no longer exist. All to stop construction on pipe line which provides a more economical way to get the oil to the refinery. A safer method than trucks and trains and with less CO2 emissions. A win win.

And his choice for Secretary of Transportation today

"WASHINGTON -- Pete Buttigieg, President Joe Biden's nominee to head the U.S. Transportation Department, won bipartisan support from senators at a Thursday confirmation hearing, where he said it was possible new gas tax revenue could fund infrastructure.

"We need to look at any responsible, viable revenue mechanism we can all agree on," said Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind., at the hearing in which lawmakers said he would quickly win Senate confirmation."
    https://www.autonews.com/regulation...nominee-says-gas-tax-hike-possible-fund-roads

So let's make everyone who drives a gas powered car pay for the new infrastructure the ones who drive electrics get a free ride. Of course this will come on TOP of cost of that gas going up as we once again have to turn to the middle east and even Russia and China.
