The law authorizing force was introduced by a Democrat and every single congressional Democrat voted for it except 1.

How you can charge Bush alone makes zero sense.

    Ahhh

Bush, Obama, Biden and Trump = useless on the Afghanistan war front.
Biden = Inherited the clean-up he helped create and it has been a total disaster. Not all that pretty but war never is but victory can make it worth while.

Bush was the only one who knew what needed to be done and while Trump goal was to get the troops out, which I opposed, he would not have done so under these conditions. Obama and Biden just like to quit because they are such weak leaders as we a clearly seeing with Biden now.

Trump was pulling out before the election he had the forces down to the agreed 2500 while the Taliban fulfilled their end of the agreement which they did not and in fact violated it. Obama and Biden tried the same thing Biden tried and we had to send forces back it. And you do know Senator Hillary Clinton was one of the more vocal and unequivocal supporters of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bush has NOTHING to do with THIS mess.

    Interesting results.

Most Americans supported leaving and most blame Biden for messing it up.

If by the end of the month all Americans that want to leave are out and no Americans died, then I think people will pretty quickly put the whole thing out of their minds.

This could actually play in his favor in the long run.

If he gets the Americans out without any loss of life people will quickly move on and it will not be a story in a month.

If no American lives are lost it will not have any impact.

The Bay of Pigs did not really hurt JFK, I do not think anyone can made a good argument that Saigon hurt Ford. 2024 is a long way away and we as an electorate have a very short memory

The other Presidents you can’t punish. They are out of office. Biden, however, is in office. You say you blame him, what exactly does that mean other than a forum post? Unless you plan on doing something about it, this blame talk we are engaged in is meaningless. There are plenty of Dems who criticize Biden but they still support him at 87%. Basically, he can do no wrong they are willing to punish him for. And that trend can be seen about every other President they’ve elected, all the way back to Clinton’s lying under oath. Hillary commits a felony and they try to reward her with a presidency. Their blame is worthless. Is yours?

and since we are talking about blame, I’d be curious to know what you think should have happened after 9/11 now that we have the luxury of 20/20 hindsight minus the fallout of Afghanistan still yet to come. Nothing? Just lots of bomb dropping? Something else?

Biden has released tens of thousands to do as the please now and is leaving Americans behind enemy lines to fend for themselves.

Did you support and call for Gitmo to be such down the the terrorist released? Did you push for our leaving Iraq and Afghanistan? Did you support Trump?

You think this ends next week. You think all our foreign allies who are now very publicly and very vocally expressing their displeasure and belief they can no longer rely on us will just go "oh never mind". You think China will forget about what has just happened. You REALLY think the Islamic Jihadist will go OK let's stop?

What do you expect of me? I'm just one voter. I don't hold public office. I'm pretty good at what I do for a living and I do make a difference that way, but that's within my field, not related to politics, and I'm extremely busy there, with no time left for political activism. What can I do? Very little. I will not vote for Biden if he runs again. I may send money to the campaign of his opponent, depending on who his opponent is (wouldn't send any money to Trump, of course; but would, if the GOP candidate is someone like Larry Hogan). That's pretty much all I can do. But if hundreds of thousands, millions of people like me do it, then we'll collectively make a difference (especially because I do live in a swing state).

Why in the hell are you bringing up Hillary Clinton? I never liked that woman. Never voted for her. So, direct your anger at the appropriate target. I have no desire to defend Hillary Clinton or Bill Clinton. Didn't I just tell you that I'm independent? Why in the hell would I feel an obligation to defend these two Democrats? Go talk to the Democrats about it, not to me. This said, Donald Trump was just as bad or worse than those two.

Regarding 9/11, I've said it a few times already. I wanted revenge, I wanted our troops to go kick Al Qaeda's ass, the Taliban's ass, Omar's ass, and Osama bin Laden's ass. We did that. I wish we had immediately left, after that. We didn't. We stayed behind for nation-building, spent 1 trillion dollars, got 83 billion dollars to the Afghan armed forces who don't even want to fight, and lost the lives of 2,400 American soldiers, not to forget the wounded ones. So it was pretty stupid. To accomplish what? Nothing. Afghanistan is right back to what it was 20 years ago. It feels pretty silly, wasteful, and pointless, doesn't it?

They attacked us on 9/11, so, yes, by all means, we had to retaliate. The mission was to thwart the people responsible for 9/11. Once done, we shouldn't have stayed 20 years there. And no, it's not hindsight. I've always felt this way. I actually find it quite incredible that a lot of people couldn't see it, and still wanted to accomplish something in Afghanistan. It's a s..thole. The Russians couldn't hold it together. We couldn't hold it together. It's an opium-infested medieval place ruled by Shariah Law, and we had no business there beyond kicking the ass of the people who attacked us. Western ideals never stood a chance in that hell hole.

On this note, I'm glad that we're finally out, although the execution sucks.

I am not dismissing it any more or less than I have before. I just find it laughable when people do dismiss polls as "fake news" when they dont like the results, and then suddenly they believe them when they like what they see. So Biden approval is 41%. So be it. I do not feel compelled to denounce those numbers. Does Biden? I have not heard him whine about the numbers. I dont think he is running again, so maybe he doesn't care. I certainly don't care.

    Agreed

this will be a flash in the pan to his supporters just like the never ending Trump scandals were a flash in the pan to HIS supporters

Trump leaves White House with his lowest-ever approval rating
In a new poll from the Pew Research Center, only 29% of Americans said they approve of how Trump is handling his job – the lowest of his tumultuous presidency...

The MSM are biased to the left and unfair in their reporting. That's just a fact.

All media outlets are biased and 90% of them are "unfair". Some just more so than others.

I really don't understand why the left refuse to believe that. They seem to consider most all news to be completely fair and unbiased except when it comes to Fox News, Breitbart, and the rest. To them, they are the only media who are biased and unfair. Everyone else is totally unbiased.

You keep whining about the "unfair" MSM, and you don't even realize FOX is one of the largest MSM outlets.

The populist folks learned the art of whining and victim playing from their leader, but I tall ya.......it does you no service.

Its nice that you speak for them, but why do you think that is how they see it? Most people know media bias exists, its only recently that people stared crying about it.

So, when Trump spent most of his 4 years down about where Biden is now - that meant that
Americans wanted Trump gone also - right?

His approval rating was never high to begin with... That's why he had to be installed.

My position on these sorts of polls is that they are meaningless, but it's already been known since Day 1 that Biden's approval rating is in the toilet because he had to be installed rather than elected.
