Black Culture Pathology, What to do?

Corporations make money by hiring people that can make money for them. They don't kick off those that are productive if it makes sense but then, sometimes HR is in charge and some of their decisions don't make sense.

People respond to adversity by creativity. Without any pressure, people will take what is called "the path of least resistance" which is also a human trait. My ex taught 3rd grade and had a student that wanted a job like his uncle had. His uncle was on welfare. When the trough if full of money, no matter how little it is, people will line up.

 

When my son was in 3rd grade he wanted to be Harry Potter. I don't think we can judge society because of a 3rd grader.

 

I know about poverty and the desperation it causes.

Me and my young son ended up in homeless shelter for abusive women.

I have been on welfare and don't get me started on how it is not "free money."

It took me 15 years of hard work to dig myself out of the hole.

I now work to help people that are stuck in the cycle of poverty and despair. I try to truly help them, because I have been them.

Why did I get myself out when others do not? I am not exactly sure but I have a few guesses. I was not born into poverty. I knew there was another world. Being an adult in poverty is bad enough. I fight for myself. I never saw myself as a victim. I am white and more likely to be given a chance.I had a high school education from a middle class town. I knew that the system was bad and that no one should have to live it.

What a sad commentary that the people that are most vilified in this country are some of the kindest, most loving, empathetic people I have ever met.

Are there people who take advantage of the system. Yes. Name me any system that has no one that does.

But before you come in here and spout some more tired rhetoric, spend a day with a poor family. Find out what it is about them that makes them feel as though abject poverty is all they deserve.

I bet you none of you will. You are too busy feeling superior. If the poor are no longer the problem, you might have to look in a mirror.

Obviously she has forgotten her Martin Luther King and his advocacy of peaceful demonstration.

Why is it that, it is Black culture that promotes and takes part in group arson so disproportionately?

Poverty (in the rich west) is a choice. You've demonstrated that, with your own story. You chose to leave it, others choose to stay.

Plenty of people who are born to generational poverty, do leave. There is no magical event which drives a departure from poverty, there is only will and energy. Or rather, you can elect to pinpoint some random feature of your early life and claim that was your driver, but all you're doing is giving will and energy another name. And yes, there is a reason we avoid calling it what it is .. because doing so (rightly) convicts the stayers of laziness.

 

And was that descent into poverty the consequences of poor choices that you made?

 

I work with a angry young black and I expect there will be a mass shooting at our workplace also. Everyone knows it but no one will do anything about letting him go. They are afraid that will be the day. Then again it really seems to be the quiet ones you need to keep an eye on.

 

And they wonder why they are profiled.

Something is very, very wrong with American Black Culture. Very Black Nigerians I know do not like American Black people for that reason. The ghettos need to be emptied and replaced with mainstreaming opportunities. No one left homeless.

Solution: WorkFare, not Welfare. And a WorkFare persons may be relocated for the sake of his job or he can leave his income like anyone else. WorkFare would encourage mainstreaming via residential resettlement and jobs.

I have seen that as well in blacks from Africa.......

 

At least the man has offered a few ideas. Self reliance being at their core. No one who is dependent on the gifts of others can ever be a man, so his message is worth thinking about.

Then, there was another negative poster who was putting down successful blacks, such as Bill Cosby, who brought a "white" message to black communities. I know some successful blacks who have worked and studied hard in order to get ahead. They are the proof that this approach works.

So, we have on one side a white man suggesting that self-reliance would do the most to help black communities improve themselves. And we have the reference to successful blacks who bring a similar message. But the successful blacks are often put down and shunned by other blacks, rather than being listened to and emulated.

Then we have your posts, LoneLaugher that, so far, offer nothing but insults. No ideas, nothing of value. If you think so little of the people here, and their ideas, why bother posting? If you're so superior, then you must have far more important things to do, and better places to be.

What I would say is that all ideas and points of view should be considered. Just because we don't agree on everything doesn't mean that those we disagree with don't have valid ideas. Right now blacks and whites seem to be growing further apart, and they seem to be getting more and more tired of listening to each other. The longer this continues, the longer the problems will remain, probably worsening with time.

Still, if you are correct, and this was the context, it is a helluva difference between this teaching and what Christ taught. Doesn't sound like the same God, does it? Islam is a fake religion given it is incoherent with what was revealed by Christ. Oil and water. It looks more like a clever way to unite contentious tribes into a whole, so they could join forces and conquer others, and Islam was a glue that held the tribes together so they could better rape and pillage, and do the works of Satan, who was called Allah. Calling it a religion of peace is like calling ravenous wolves, teddy bears.

 

Muhammed never considered himself devine. He preached "Save yourself, I cannot save you. Return to the God of Abraham".

Islam has features of Judaism and features of Christianity. .. and I am sure Muhammed learned from the Jews as well as from Nestorian Christians.

The rules for the conduct of war in the Koran are very enlightened. They may not harm women, children the elderly or livestock. They may not destroy crops, trees or water sources. .. and they must go to the peace table if the enemy signals they wnt to end the conflict.

They also can't fight during the holy months.

 

Love reading what middle class white people have to say to disenfranchised black people born into poverty.

Maybe you should go to a ghetto and preach your message, you might just change the world.
