If Black folks have accepted a White Jesus why is it so hard for white folk to accept a Black Yesus?

I don't think it matters what color Jesus was. But one should remember he was from the Middle East, Isreal. So he wasn't as white as those who lived in England, Germany, Scandinavia etc. He also wasn't as black as the Nubian, Sudan, Ethiopia folks. If it really matters to you, he was probably more Olive skinned, perhaps light brown. Probably more akin to the ancient Egyptians.

For those who truly accept Jesus, color doesn't matter. It's his teachings that matters. For those who don't, those who want to throw a curve into his teaching and religion, I suppose color does.

Because he was a Jew which means he was olive skinned. Jesus was not white that is an atheist lie

yes and olives are black which leads me back to my question, since you are concerned about this topic; Why will white folk not accept a Black Yesus?

They universally will NOT accept him, why do you think that is?

What are you basing this claim on?

I know some white folks myself whp think Jesus was actually a space alien (and if you think Im kidding, search Enki Enlil Annunaki for an intro into that story). I don't think they would have any problem if he turned out to be black...

He can be any color you want. But I would suggest you pay more attention to his teaching instead of color. But somehow, I don't think you care much for his teaching, just what color he was. Since color is of utmost importance to you, not his teaching, consider yourself a winner.

So do I follow the premise here?....Jesus was really black and you white people are racist for not believing that? He was a middle eastern Jew, he likely had olive skin tone.
Personally, his real skin color is of zero signifigance to me.

The term Middle East is imprecise, culturally and geographically biased, susceptible to misunderstanding, and therefore useless in terms of accuracy. Though the term has been called Eurocentric, it is more precisely Anglo-centric, originating at the height of the British imperial century (1815-1914). I also suggest that the related acronym “MENA” (Middle East-North Africa) also be dropped.

The broadest definition of the term “Middle East” came at the 2004 conference of the G8 nations, based on the definition of USA’s Bush administration. This included the entire Muslim world, because to the Bush administration Middle East = Muslim = terrorist (or oil in the case of “friendly” regimes). Often called the “Greater Middle East”, this list includes the “traditional” Middle East nations in Anatolia, the Levant, the Arabian peninsula, and Mesopotamia, as well as those in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and North Africa.

I dont know what jesus looked like. I can only assume he was similar in charactirustics to the hebrews origjnating in middle east.

The white skin, light brown hair and blue eyed depiction has turned me off...as it doesnt ring accurate.
A black skinned depiction would turn me off also.

He was not an African. If you have some evidence that he was black, present it. This thread has an agenda and it's obvious what it is. Please dont edit my posts as I wont edit yours. Thank you.

Honestly, why do you care so much? Why are you so eager for Jesus to be black? What does His race even matter? You're spinning every person's post on here, olive skinned is not black, but then again why should it even matter?

Obviously Middle Eastern and Jewish isn't African, so not sure how you can conjure up that claim. ..

OK, not sure how any of that indicates Jesus was black. Where did you copy that text from?

Can you explain why skin color is so important to you and his teachings mean nothing to you? I think you missed the boat and stopped the elevator far short of the top floor my friend. But have fun.

There is an excellent half hour comedy on Hulu called Black Jesus...........a Jew from what is now Iraq is maybe why the historical "black Jesus" is selling poorly.

the Abrahamic religions are middle eastern, so Jesus was most likely middle eastern as well, his name was not even Jesus, he was renamed to make the religion sound less middle eastern

The correct translation for Yeshua would be Joseph.
