You are on the right track. Consider this; is "one drop rule" a custom or a law? Who is to say, as an authoritative figure, what people are black or white? The "one drop rule" is more of a custom as opposed to a statutory law.

    My opinion.

I agree. If she was behind the cause and a good leaders, getting things done, I do not see where it matters. Her parents adopted 4 black kids. Perhaps she wanted to be like them, but who knows?

I'm sure opinions vary, as they invariably do.

Despite the problems you seem to have with racial matters, I expect that those actually concerned will deal with it appropriately.

If the matter is of great concern to you, all I can do is recommend patience.

Well, the point is that she is not black, and now that her game is over, she can quit doing make ups in her face and show up as a white woman instead.

Having her continuing her faking of being a black woman will be ridiculous.

Nobody is criticizing her for her job performance. She's being rightfully criticized for lying and committing fraud. I understand liberals don't get that, but that's the heart of the matter.

Supporting people is not racist against white people. Giving a job to a minority for no other reason other than they are a minority over an equally qualified white person is racist against whites.

    Its pretty simple.

I wonder if the Spokane NAACP will keep her on. I would if she was a good leader, but I suppose the charade may be too much for most to handle. But we shall see.

Now that it is out, I am interested to see the reaction of the Spokane NAACP. I haven't heard a peep out of them. Have you?

If the NAACP is fine with Dolezal, so am I. It really is or was their problem along with Rachel. Far as I am concerned, case closed.

In fact I now believe I am 66 years old and am going down to the Social Security office today to apply for my generosity and Medicare.

You don't see any problem with that do you? I mean the only thing that matters is what I think about myself.

Not according to your bigotry towards white males.

Because it is beyond looks and when others have done so have been critized harshly.

So you agree I can declare myself 66 years old because that is how I feel and what I want to be and my SS benefits should start and I should be able to sign up for Medicare?

So you are OK with fraud, dishonesty, unethical behavior and deceit by so-called leaders then.

And you're OK with me declaring that I am a 66 year old senior now and I should be able to reap the benefits?

At least one other member of the local board is trying to call her on cancelling the meeting as she has no authority to do so.

Her parents cared enough to call her out on this. Should blacks be honored that a white woman put on blackface? Is it a privilege for them for a crazy cracker to want to think she is one of them because it somehow means they are something more now?

Now what does going down to the social security office have to do with Dolezal? You have lost me completely. But as for Medicare, be my guest. You paid into it all your life, now has come the time to collect. Has Dolezal applied early for medicare or something? I always thought you had to be at least 62.

I am willing to let those affected be the judge of Dolezal. In the end it is the Spokane Chapter that has the final say. Everyone else can rant and rave, which is their right. But as to the fate of Dolezal, whether she stays as the leader of the chapter or not, it is entirely up to the Spokane Chapter of the NAACP.

Do I think she was dishonest, sure I do. She downright lied. It is sort of like a husband and wife, the husband can cheat, but only the wife can forgive or can him. It is the same here. Everyone else can rant and rave, but they have no say in the final outcome. If hurt was done here, it was done to the Spokane NAACP Chapter, not to anyone else. So the final decision rests with that chapter.

Do you mind if I ask you what the heck is your fascination with medicare? Medicare is a completely different subject than what this thread is all about. If you have a problem with medicare, take it to the Medicare officials please.

No I don't think you are lost, if she can declare she is black why can't I declare I am now 66 years old if that is how I feel about myself?

Yes I understand you have no problem with dishonesty and fraud and deceit.

    Hyperbole noted.

This thread is about fraud and deceit and purposely misrepresenting ones self. If we now have to accept as fact however a person represents themselves then certainly I can declare myself 66 years old and reap the benefits. If not why not?

You're free to try. But the medicare office has your records and exactly how much you paid into it and what age you are. But go ahead, give it a try. You have my permission. Social Security and Medicare, their offices know quite a bit about you, if you're not 62 or 66, they know that too. Let me know how it all turns out.

Because medicare knows all about you. I highly doubt the Spokane Chapter of the NAACP knew all about or as much about Dolezal as medicare knows about you. What was the chapter suppose to do, take a DNA test? Make everyone who wants a position with them undergo a DNA test? Now the ball is in their court, let them decide. You, yourself have not been harmed one way or the other. Do I think she was wrong, sure I do. But I am not the judge, jury or anything else in this.

I'm asking YOU, if people are now able to declare their physical attributes as you are supporting with this woman then why shouldn't I be able to do so? If the government looks at my record, as we have looked at this woman's record, and says no you are not 66 yet and I say yes I am, who is right and who is trying to commit a fraud. If a male can declare themselves a female, a white declare themselves black, then certainly I should be able to declare what my age is based on how I feel. If not why not?

so, it's OK that she has claimed to have grown up in South Africa where she said that she killed her food with a spear and a bow and arrow. It's OK that she has repeatedly lied and perpetrated a fraud.
