Show the poll that says they don't just support a wall in "strategic locations" but a $25 billion wall. I would say that I also support the notion presented in the poll, but that doesn't mean I support the current $25 billion project that the federal government is proposing

 

So exactly where does Trump want to build the wall? What locations? Are those the locations where most aliens are crossing? Or just where the Federal Government owns the land? What will the wall look like? Will it be effective in the areas it is built?

Both parties have funded barriers in the past. If Trump or anyone else came with an actual reasoned argument and said, "we need another 80 miles of barrier here, and 20 here, and 34 miles there", and justified it and showed how the money was going to be spent, he would have a pretty good shot of getting it.

But he hasn't done that. He hasn't identified the areas that require a barrier, how many people are crossing there, and whether a barrier is the most cost-effective way of securing the border.

 

Your claim that it contained wall funding was just as wrong as your assertion that trump didn't sign it due to talk radio. When are you going to realize you are getting bad information from these leftist news sites?

 

That would be an excellent position for democrats to take and an excellent position for trump to respond to if they were not opposing funding the wall based on politics alone as part of the resistance movement. In the real world though Nancy is saying she will give Trump one dollar for wall funding so she is obviously not open to this type of honest negotiation you are proposing. In the meantime border agents say there are places they need the wall and that is the places it will go. Having said that Trump probably should identify specific areas so that he could force democrats to say those spots don't need a wall even though border guards say they do. Good idea!

 

Most illegal immigrants in the country entered through a legal visa, and then simply overstayed their visa. All one really needs to get into the country is a tourist visa. The notion of the wall being effective enough to the point of saving enough money to cover it's $25 billion expense plus maintenance seems unlikely. Especially when you consider the ways in which one can get by a wall. Really, all that is needed is a rope, and a ladder

Actually I'm well informed because I listen to multiple sources from all spectrums of the political rainbow. In that way it's possible to tell who is giving you half truths and who's giving you the whole story and to separate spin from facts. It's like piecing together a jig saw puzzle of information to complete an accurate picture. It's unfortunate there is no single news source that gives you all the unadulterated facts and you have to go to such efforts but that's just the way it is I guess.

 

I'm sensing a shift on this from the left in that they are admitting walls work and are necessary in strategic locations. Chuck and Nancy with their no way Jose attitude may soon be going it alone.

He knew that. He was told that.

He agreed to that and told McConnell to get it done.

Then he turned his AM radio on.

And then, he went back on his word to McConnell and left him hanging.

Now, McConnell won't move anything Trump won't publicly agree to, because he's tired of doing the clown prince's bidding only to be left holding the bag when the imbicile betrays him and changes his mind.

Trump lost this battle on December 11th, live and on national television.
