Are you referring to the family separation policy? I'm specifically referring to catch and release, which is the subject about which I was inquiring. After doing some reading up on it, I've discovered that Trump never brought forward any kind of meaningful policy to put an end to it, as he promised while campaigning. In April last year, he signed an executive memo which directed federal officials to report to him on ways to end 'catch and release' practices. The memo did not establish any policy changes or provide a way to fund additional detentions. Basically, it died on the vine - there were no lawsuits or court hearings on the matter. So, while he had the house and senate, he did nothing to bring an end to catch and release, as promised.

 

Democrats are lying that there is no crisis.....Anytime they get in front of the camera over this. They need to be called out as liars.

The more that happens.....the less they will lie about it.

Repubs need to get out and chase them away from the cameras by calling them what they are.....Liars.

Do you think there should be a special prison where parents should be allowed to live with their children if they both happen to be in prison? (and not just apply to the immigration system)

How do you feel about parents who could choose to have the family be immediately be deported but instead choose to keep their own children in prison while they wait to go through the court system and file an application to be allowed to stay?
Are the parents themselves responsible for the children being locked up, in many cases?
