That's absurd. The 2016 popular vote opinion polls were largely correct. They're once again showing Trump behind in the popular vote and by inference closer in the Electoral College.

Are you under the impression the popular vote matters in presidential elections?

Why cite polls on popular vote numbers?

Because that's what the polls measure.

Which as I previously stated is meaningless even if they were accurate .and polls last election said Hillary would win which she definitely did not.

Dead wrong. There are 50 states and some territories. If someone doesn't like what the state government does they can move to another state. It happens all the time. State governments have competition. Federal government answers to no one. There are no alternatives for citizens. It should be serving the states with nothing other than what the states cannot do for themselves with efficiency.

The polls were remarkably accurate as I mentioned:

No, the polls said she would win the popular vote, not the election. Pundits and poll aggregators were the ones drawing unwarranted conclusions.

Revisionist history. Hillary winning was supposedly a landslide according to polls until very late in the elections when polling companies had to worry more about their reputation than shaping public opinion.

You don't seem to understand how polling works. Most of these organizations do work for businesses and don't want to have their business customers questioning their professionalism.

The final polls were off by an average of just more than one percent on what they measured--the popular vote. Poll aggregators and blathering tv news pundits were the ones making the predictions.

You don't understand how polls work. They have become tools to shape public opinion instead of measure it and I already explained to you why late election polls suddenly became more accurate.

I've created and conducted polls. You?
Some polls, not those done by legit organizations.
    You explained, but you're wrong.

It's just fact these days. Polls are meant to influence opinions not measure them just as its fact that news organizations report in a way to create public opinion instead of straight forward reporting of events. It's the times we live in.

No broken families. If the illegal has children who were born in the US the parent has choices. Take the children with you when you are deported to your home country; have the children looked after by a relative, after ICE had made sure the relative is a US citizen or in the US legally; or have the children taken into CYFD custody until they are 18, then as US citizens they can make their way in the world.
As for the jobs the illegals are doing those jobs can now been done by US citizens who are on welfare, which may be the reason Trump is tightening the welfare requirements to remove the choice of taking the job that's offered or staying on welfare.
At the end of the day whatever the title, ICE, Border Patrol etc, they are all doing what's in their job description; law enforcement.

The Popular Vote does matter, it determines the Votes of the Electoral College. What doesn't matter is the ENTIRETY of the Popular Vote. You guys are constantly acting as is the Electoral Voters can just go in a room and do whatever they please, technically they can, but they never have and there is considerable controversy as to what would happen if they ever did. The EC is an outmoded device to avoid the necessity of runoff elections when you have several candidates. The Founding Fathers never thought we'd have political parties and in fact, many of them warned against them

Popular vote measured nation wide is meaningless because a very large part of it comes from very small geographical regions that only have a limited amount of electoral votes

Now you want to lock up American citizens who have done nothing? And you say "No broken families" and then go right on about how you're going to break them.

Actually, it's meaningless because all but two of the states use a winner-takes-all system of apportioning electors. The states could stop all this EC silliness any time they wanted by just having more of them use proportional apportionment. There's nothing in the Constitution saying they can't

The popular vote in each of the 51 elections for President matter.
The numbers you get when you add those 51 elections together does not.

Where did I mention locking anyone up?
If a child is taken into CYFD care they are found foster homes until they are 18. And I did say they could stay with their parents if the parents chose to take them back to the parents home country, or they could be placed in the care of relatives.
The attitude of "I've got a child who is a US citizen so you can't deport me", and "You're tearing families apart", is wearing really thin.
Why are you so determined to support criminals who ignore the law?

Why are you so determined to make people whose only crime is that they weren't born here into criminals?

    They are criminals.
Entering and remaining in the US without authorization is a crime, someone who commits a crime is by simple definition; a criminal.
All crimes carry a punishment, in this case, removal from the US

Being born outside of the united states is not a crime.

Illegally gaining entry into the united states, however, is a crime.

Does rule of law exist in the united states, or does it not?
