The survey being cited on the part of yourself is factually incorrect. The survey only reveals those that are willing to admit to firearm ownership when questioned by a random stranger. It does not demonstrate actual ownership rates. Therefore it is worthless.

A single city in the united states has more firearms than the entire nation of Australia ever did prior to the Port Arthur incident. The majority of firearms in the united states are unregistered, and cannot be found by the authorities.

Exactly how do you propose going about removing a significant and meaningful percentage of the firearms in the united states from the equation? Explain such. Do be sure it goes far beyond a simple mandate that can be easily ignored by the public, as such is already being done in various states.

    Yep, I agree.
Thoughts and prayers is the standard response to any mass shooting. Doesn’t mean you have to do anything about it.

Banning some guns and introducing an amnesty period would swamp police stations with hundreds of thousands of guns in one week.
Lives saved immediately. ..go from there. Over time numbers reduce

How many land masses is the nation of Australia directly connected to?

Unlike yourself, the united states is connected to the nation of Mexico, which is the most violent and corrupt nation in the world. Firearms would simply be smuggled into the country along with the illicit narcotic substances, simply because the drug cartels would see a business opportunity worth exploring.

Within a one month period of news getting out that all privately owned firearms being taken out of the equation, the cartels would be smuggling in fully-automatic firearms and grenade launchers to anyone willing to pay the asking price for them. The problem would only get worse for the united states, not better.

Legally, rights serve to protect the people from the actions of the government, not from other private individuals.

How about the rights of those in the nation of France who are killed in the various terrorist attacks the nation is suffering from?

It's all the liberal propaganda calling anything that looks cool an assault weapon.

Various states have already attempted such. The public has refused to comply and surrender or otherwise register anything, thus putting the state governments in a precarious position relating to enforcement.

Once again. Exactly how do you propose going about removing a significant and meaningful percentage of the firearms in the united states from the equation? Explain such. Do be sure it goes far beyond a simple mandate that can be easily ignored by the public, as such is already being done in various states.

Fix your own problems but dont sit back and justify owning guns because you cant fix it.

Well, when 'humans' can quit the home invasions, the raping, the murdering, and calling for whites to be killed, we will think about the humanity of everyone else. Until then, I'll keep defending the 2nd Amendment.

The survey being cited by, you, disregards White racism controlling our society. Same White-racism which works hard to prevent Blacks from owning guns --- especially Black men. It's a form of racism which has been colossally effective for, decades, and it must be counted when considering why only 19% of Blacks own guns.

What about the rights of women who are raped, and families who are victims of home invasions, and the rights of whites not to worry about being tortured and murdered like they are in South Africa, or have to listen to blacks call for killing whites? What about all the illegal guns blacks and Hispanics own? Whose going to take their guns away? Anyone? No they will come after the legal gun owners, leaving them without defense.

You would love that wouldn't you? You don't give a damn about the families of the eleven shot. You want whites to be disarmed so they can be easy targets.

Cars kill far more people. As much as the media hypes up gun violence for the ratings, if you're not involved in crime suicide is the most likely chance you have of having a bad experience with guns. If you're not suicidal and not running with gangs, you have more to fear crossing the street.

You mean only 19% of blacks have their guns registered. Most of guns owned by them are illegal.
Why do you cry about 11 people shot this week, and not cry about all the inner city shootings perpetrated by blacks and Hispanics with illegal guns?
    Your anti-white racism is showing.

The above statement does not even attempt to address the fact that the proposal on the part of yourself would only serve to make the existing problem in the united states worse, not better. It is nothing more than an effort at changing the subject in a desperate attempt to avoid having to admit to such, as the history of the united states has already proven time and time again.

It is not even a decent attempt at trying to change the subject, as the new subject is nothing more than a statement about feeling safe simply because the government tells the public that it can feel safe. It is a change of subject that presents the notion that the government is always right, and always knows what is best for the people of the nation.

The true problem is not the existence of firearms, as such is merely a symptom of a much larger problem which the public does not wish to address, simply because that problem is too difficult to face.
