    This story is breaking. Link to follow. Here is the letter sent by Trump.

    Donald Trump made the announcement following the most recent statement of "open hostility" from North Korea. Specifically, this is a reference to the report that Mike Pence was called "ignorant and stupid" for making one of the most direct threats to their leadership by comparing them to the Libya model.

    Ah well, there goes that nobel peace prize. Will Bolton be out of a job because he sabotaged the nuclear summit before it could happen?

    This meeting was always a high minded dream. North Korea has repeatedly used a bait and switch method of dangling peace in order to obtain sanctions relief. Now, they have played Trump like a fiddle and garnered legitimization from the President to the point where a sitting US president called the North Korean leader "honorable" and to send his top diplomat to meet with the North Korean leader directly.

    What has Trump gained in all of this? Three US citizens were released. For them and their family, that is a very valuable deal.

    But for the rest of the world - now that nuclear war is back to being more likely with an emboldened North Korean leader and a furious and reckless US leader - I think that deal is terrible.

    Ah... No... you are incorrect... I believe this will get Trump his 2nd Nobel Peace Prize in the same year, one for opening dialog with a dangerous murderous dictator, and the 2nd for cancelling the dialog with a dangerous murderous dictator...

    I'd like the TDS patients to keep something in mind while they undoubtedly celebrate this cancellation...

    ...it means a large scale war could now that much more likely.

    Its either that, or Trump is playing one hell of a game of hardball.

    I am not celebrating the fact that war is more likely. I am criticizing Trump for being a moron who allowed it to happen.

    Trump is the one who agreed to meet with the North Korean leader without consulting his advisers and called Kim Jong Un honorable in a public statement.

    As of this moment:

    -Trump got 3 American hostages back
    -Trump got Kim and South Korea prez to talk
    -Trump got Kim to destroy his nuclear test sites
    -Trump got Kim to understand that he means what he says and that he IS willing to walk away

    Kim got nothing besides being embarrassed by Trump's cancellation.

    Not too bad for round 1. Trump has major advantage at the start of round 2.

    Kim Jong Un got massive amounts of legitimatization, from being able to meet personally with the Secretary of State, to being praised by the US President, to reinforcing his own leadership.
