Bristol Palin pregnant: Sarah Palin's daughter expecting second child

What an embarrassment this clan is for the right. I wonder how they will spin this one.
It doesn't speak very well of Palin's parenting skills that her unwed daughter can't keep from getting pregnant.
Anyway, we can all be thankful that this tribe never made it near the White House.

As a single mother whose never been married, I empathize with Bristol Palin. Apparently, she's keeping her child and I support her. In my opinion, this is a classic case of schadenfreude. Having said that, Sarah Palin is no longer a politician, she's become a celebrity and by shooting off her stupid mouth, has brought upon herself (and unfortunately, her family) a certain amount of ignominy.

Why are conservatives such babes in the woods with con men? This whole family seems a breakaway branch of Irish Travelers, yet there are still millions of followers who hang on their every word.

At least once a year you'll hear about some guy who wants to execute everyone with a porn collection being busted for having a harem of little girls composed mainly of his congregation's daughters, yet the conservatives will call him a "man of god" and cluster around him defensively worse than Detroit blacks on a drug dealer. Ummm... It was Sarah herself that brought her family and kids in to it, using them as props that represent conservative values. Most other politicians try to leave their families out of it. I agree kids should be off limit, but when you are an advocate of forcing your values on others yet you can't even keep your house in check, it's kind of embarrassing and worthy of being brought up.

The incredibly silly mantra about Sarah bringing her kids into it is not worthy. All presidential and vice-presidential candidates drag their kids around and up on stage with them. It's part and parcel of the "family image".

Well Obama's daughters aren't pregnant. I'm sure it would be brought up if they were. Sarah on the other hand wants to force others decisions based on family values that she can't even keep in her house. It's incredibly embarrassing for conservatives. There's no question about that.

Oh, and please be specific about which family value Mrs. Palin has forced onto you. Be specific. Who, what, when, where, why.

 

Palin used her children as props in her campaign, and continued to use them to advance her celebrity career. No other politician ever put their kids on shows like "Dancing with the Stars".

Moreover, the fact that Bristol will now have not one,but two, children out of wedlock makes a mockery of her mother's efforts to portray herself and her family as exemplars of "family values".

Instead, they look like stereotypical trailer trash.

They're too damned stupid to see how Hillary drags Chelsea around as a prop for her so-called charities. I remember not long ago, Chelsea was on one of those night shows (probably one of the Jimmies) to yap about the Clinton Foundation. And didn't they all pose with Charlotte? Wow! Talk about using your kids AND your grandkids as a prop!

Joe, credibility wise, you aren't doing yourself any favors by trashing the Palins. Can't you find someone else to hate on? I mean, there are what, 97 Republicans running for president and not a Palin on that list.

As for illegitimate pregnancies, the democrats won that contest long ago. More babies are killed due to the laziness, stupidity and lack of self control of democrats than anyone else. And most inmates - murderers, rapists, thieves and child molesters identify with the democrat party.

Point is, before you point a crooked finger at the Palins, double check your own standing in the world. You might find, for all their faults, for which we all have many, the Palins might just be above your stature. Just trying to help you out here, Joe.

Unfortunate but true and while I empathize with Bristol Palin as a woman, she set herself up for this. She did abstinence tours at $35,000 a crack, pushed her own celebrity status on "Dancing With the Stars" and generally used that status to keep herself in the limelight. Celebrity news is big business in the US, albeit for the lower IQ types. People are more concerned about that crap over hard news. But I have a feeling this is only one shoe dropping. She hasn't gone public as to who the father is. Was it Dakota Meyer who cancelled her wedding? The media is going to be on this like flies attracted to dung.

 

We see bigots posting the stories about obscure incidents involving black people which are now apparantly staples on the right wing trash blogs at that time of the morning.

 

I'm no Palin fan but this is not worthy of attention in the political realm. I certainly hope I'm not held accountable for my 24-year-old's choices. Unless she's explicitly blaming her mom for her circumstances, she ought to be treated as the independent adult that she is. Leave this stuff on TMZ and Perez Hilton.
