I was actually reading a story on the fires in California and how environmental mismanagement due to the environmentalists has made the state one huge firebox and a generator company in Wisconsin is ranmping up for a huge sales increase there and came across this. Seem the residents of the largets county have had enough of the environmental cmjcerns of these HUGE solar and wind farms. They are a blight in their communities. They destroy the landscape and kill thousands and thousands of birds. So they have had enough and put a stop to any future projects. If other counties do the same there goes California's palm to go all renewable. But Climate Change! Largest California County Bans Mega Solar Farms ...California’s largest county has banned the construction of large solar and wind farms on more than 1 million acres of private land, bending to the will of residents who say they don’t want renewable energy projects industrializing their rural desert communities northeast of Los Angeles,” the outlet reports.... ...local residents say that solar and wind farms destroy areas like Dagget, Joshua Tree and Lucerne Valley by turning the landscape into eyesores. Sara Fairchild, a resident of Pioneertown, has been working to have California Highway 247 turned into a designated state scenic highway to boost the local economy; she says that would all fall apart in the face of a mega solar farm. “These vast open areas are precious for their natural, historical and recreational qualities. But they are fragile, and no amount of mitigation can counter the damage that industrial-scale renewable energy projects would cause,” Fairchild told the supervisors. “Once destroyed, these landscapes can never be brought back.”... https://www.dailywire.com/news/b-b-climate-change-california-county-kills-plans-paul-bois
Plus the dirty little secret that the California government’s wind and solar policies will have absolutely zero effect on reducing global warming. The hundreds of millions of dollars spent on solar subsidies in California instead of equipment maintenance and tree & brush clearing resulted in the wildfires causing billions of dollars in damages and loss of life for nothing.
And those California wildfires put vast amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. Seems Cali is a major contributor to global warming. But with the backyard barbeque ban, maybe they will break even?
