And this is why Democrats will win.

They. Do. Not. Give. A. ****.

Here we have Gov. Newsome explaining why, after setting repeatedly changing benchmarks for reopening, he decided to open up anyway even though the states own numbers said not to.

    His response?

"We use super secret numbers that will confuse you."

He doesn't care what you think, or how you feel. He'll give you whatever bullshit excuse he wants to, and you'll like it, because **** you.

Remember Pelosi claiming she was duped into getting her hair done? Literally, nobody thought that was true (if you did, please, let it be known so we can all point and laugh at you) because that whole premise is so incredibly stupid. Does she care if you believe it? No, of course not. Why would she?

Suddenly DC and Michigan open up again in a desperate attempt to get the economy going. Why, after months over crippling lockdowns, did we decide to open up the week of Bidens inauguration? Because they said so, that's why. They don't owe you an explanation.

I wasn't aware there were 13 counties in the Sacramento area. Sounds off.

Okay, after reading more. The northern half of the state is open. It's sparsely populated so nothing remarkable. The problem I see is grouping Sacramento with several northern counties that have small populations. This doesn't give an accurate picture, IMO.

Your rant is rejected, but serious discussion can be had here.

Yeah I got to that part. A little busy so it's taking a bit to read through.

I'm closer to Sacramento in the Reno area than some in those counties. Bad move grouping them together, IMO

The point is this: Everyone was like "Capitalists are super evil, forcing businesses to open up and risk infection JUST TO HELP TRUMP". An election victory and 4 months later: "Okay...let's open up now. Sssh, don't tell those plebs that we're being totally contradictory here."

I wish I could say I'm surprised by our plutocratic political class, but I'm actually really not. This is who they always are. Now, would I want them to open up? Sure but you'd like to hope it's a little less blatant than that. This just shows how very little they care about us(despite voting them back in)

Shutting down businesses? No problem. Arresting salon owners? No biggie. Oh, but keep one open for the cherished House Speaker. Welcome back Plutocrats, it was a short four year vacation but unlike everybody else I'm not going to act like it was a long reprieve. 'Normalcy' can return in quite a hurry.

The entire state isn't open. The only large urban area that's open is Sacramento, and as I said, it's being grouped with many sparsely populated counties that could effect the numbers.
