At least the people who are staying can get their lawns manicured for a low price.
That also means lawn-mowing jobs are few and hard to come by for teenagers in many parts of the state. You can hire a semi-professional person with a truck (albeit a very beat-up truck that looks like it came straight out of Mexico) and equipment for the same price that a teenager would cost you.
That is if you are allowed to water your lawn in the first place. All sorts of rules and regulations in los angles on watering your lawn.
Most obvious reasons are market driven which in turn are affected by availability in raw numbers of availibity , type, population density, zoning laws setting high minimums is square footage of building and lot size.
Also the old market force of DEMAND.
Have seen that happen here in the northeast. The crazoids from Massachusetts have spread their cancerous politics to heretofore conservative fortresses like Maine and New Hampshire. Wealthy New Yorkers are buying up everything they can get their hands on.
You are getting the poorly educated in exchange for the well to do upper middle class...Go for it
