Can someone proof this for me, please?

Persons under 5 years, 6.5 percent
Persons under 18 years, 21.4 percent
Persons 65 years and over, 16.6 percent
    Female persons, 49.6 percent

    Total population

    Population estimates, July 1, 2017, (V2017) 988,650

    How does 6.5, 21.4, 16.6 and 49.6 make 100 percent?

    https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/honolulucountyhawaii/PST045216

    and one more thing..

    Functions of the City Council:
    • Fixes fees and charges for all city services and the use of city property;
    • Authorizes settlement of claims filed against the city and against its officers and employees acting within the course of their duties;
    • Establishes fines and penalties for violations of city ordinances and laws; and
    • Accepts gifts and donations to and on behalf of the City of money, securities or other personal property, or real estate or interests in real estate.

What is the 'City of money' ?

I posted the same question on another forum, US Message Board - Where your voice counts- and I got this in response.

    How does 6.5, 21.4, 16.6 and 49.6 make 100 percent?

Would this be considered a struggle?

    -----------

    Yeah, GFY.

Then when I tried to post the second part, I got this...

So basically, I'm looking for a forum or some kind of message board where it isn't so censor happy for every thing that is posted..

    What does GFY mean anyway?

    Go fool yourself?

I really do hope this forum is a National one instead of a localized only one.

But isn't it strange? The City of money?? What did they NOT teach me in school about this City of money?

Oh, and get this.. Although the City and County accepts gifts and donations, it seems as if an official for Office of Hawaiian Affairs cannot...

    http://www.civilbeat.org/2018/05/oha-trustee-under-investigation-for-accepting-72000-from-heiress/

"The ethics commission says in a charging document that Akana wrongly accepted more than $72,000 from Abigail Kawananakoa, a wealthy Hawaiian heiress, and failed to report the gifts within statutory deadlines.

Kawananakoa helped pay Akana’s legal bills in a countersuit her fellow OHA board members filed against her. Akana’s attorney maintains this was not a personal gift because the lawsuit was against Akana in her official capacity as a board member.

Akana later sent Kawananakoa a $125.65 floral gift using her trustee allowance, which the commission deemed illegal special treatment.

The Hawaii State Ethics Commission is investigating Rowena Akana, a longtime trustee for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, for accepting improper gifts and misusing trust funds."

So maybe the 'accepts gifts and donations' of city council could be non monetary gifts such as vehicles and homes and such...

But what is the City of money?

Shouldn't the web site be redone or clarified? Or am I in the not knowing part of life?

    • Accepts gifts and donations to and on behalf of the City of money, securities or other personal property, or real estate or interests in real estate.

The securities, personal property, real estate or interests in real estate could all be willed to the City after a person's 'falling asleep in The Lord'.

The persons under 5 are part of the persons under 18.
    Persons 19-64 not listed.
Women represent 49.6% of all the above (roughly).
They're not giving all the parts of the 100%.

...and I figure its prolly sposed to read "...on behalf of the City; of money, securities or other..."

oh.. a missing semi colon... I see...

What a treat to have a correction clarifed! Thank You So Much! i wonder why the other site got so peeved ????

    Have you seen this?

    freaky.. newly born twins... freaky.

For those who are non pregancy doctors, I guess this is the way they clean off new borns, huh?

With my crazy mind, I thought this man was passing the children through 'water' as the children of Ammon passed the children through 'fire'.

Passing the newborns through fire then might have been okay and very acceptable. I don't think they had running water plumbing back then.

Plums may have been one of the first fruits domesticated by humans.[3] Three of the most abundant cultivars are not found in the wild, only around human settlements: Prunus domestica has been traced to East European and Caucasian mountains, while Prunus salicina andPrunus simonii originated in Asia. Plum remains have been found in Neolithic age archaeological sites along with olives, grapes and figs.

    Go figure...

Here's What Fruits And Vegetables Looked Like Before We Domesticated Them

No wonder some natural fruit eating persons look at me as if I'm a hog in the mire when I'm eating watermelon... lol...

"Next time you bite into a slice of watermelon or a cob of corn, consider this: these familiar fruits and veggies didn't always look and taste this way.

Genetically modified foods, or GMOs, inspire strong reactions nowadays, but humans have been tweaking the genetics of our favourite produce for millennia.

While GMOs may involve splicing genes from other organisms (such as bacteria) to give plants desired traits – like resistance to pests, selective breeding is a slower process whereby farmers select and grow crops with those traits over time.

From bananas to eggplant, here are some of the foods that looked totally different before humans first started growing them for food."

"Plums may have been one of the first fruits domesticated by humans".

Why didn't they just clarify the missing segment of the 18 to 65 year olds?

I've been 'banned' with a push of a mouse button...

It can't. However, the factoids above don't say that they should be 100%. First, persons under 18 include the persons under 5, so it would make no sense to add those two numbers together. Also, the list of factoids is of those under 5, under 18 and 65 and over, and those female. That means that they don't include those over 18 and under 65. Using logic, since 21.4% are under 18, and 16.6% are over 65, that is 38%, and that means that 62% are over 18 and under 65. Males are 50.4% of the population.
